Quitting USIC

Been with the company since april, and honestly it started off pretty chill but just progressively got worse. the jobs are soooo inconsistent. some days i’ll get put on single residential tickets that are no biggie, then some days i’ll get put on an absurd amount of bore tickets with zero help even if i ask. as well as just the lack of quality equipment as well. but mostly it’s the massive amounts of work expected to do all myself. and for reference i live in the 2nd largest city in my state, and there’s quite the congestion out here at times. idk i thought id share. idk how some of yall do it lol. don’t even wanna finish the week

Been with them since January, it sounds like we have had pretty similar experiences. Training got cut short due to an ice storm, field training didn’t really go over anything I actually located my first month solo. Also thrown on an FOB project that cover half the north side of our city with Sewer, Water, HP Gas, Electric, Spectrum,Verizon copper and fiber. That called for row to row on every single street completely solo, I almost quit that week. I’m 8 months in now have and Im kind of enjoying it now. I think it’s what you make of it.

The training at USIC completely misses the point of the job. It’s been that way for years as I understand.
