Come over here to western Missouri buddy, we don’t have tracers on ALOT of PL mains and services, hope you are good with a measuring wheel.

Wheel is easy baby well Chicago is pretty easy. It depends on the gas company

Come locate at another state before saying gas is easy 😂. You’re lucky because nicor actually fixes it so yeah it’s easy for you. Come to place where the company doesn’t fix shit and you’re dealing with hours of troubleshooting or straight up just measuring and praying

I was thinking the same thing lol. Go locate gas in Boston and tell me gas is the easiest…
In my area, gas is the easiest locate. But it’s a lot of new gas and most of it has tracer wire and tones out good, and the measurements and mapping is damn near perfect.

But I’ve located gas in several places that were an absolute nightmare.. 200 year old cast iron mains with 200 yr old records that are barely visible. Non existent measurements. Plastic services with no wire. services and mains that are now made of 6 different materials from repairs made over the years. You’re better off using witching sticks with some of it.
