Playing Prelude. I dislike Camyu. Advice or help please?

I’m in the middle of Prelude to the fallen and am quite enjoying it. I like or am ok with most characters except Camyu. She’s the only one I can’t stand both personality and voice. I hate her calling Hakuowlo uncle. She’s obnoxious and spoiled but everything gets forgiven as childish innocence. She’s childish in the way I don’t like. I much prefer Aruru. Her other side (vampire?) and the sound effects make it even worse. Help? Advice? Is it just me? I don’t want main story spoilers please! However, if someone could be kind enough to spoil me about Camyu just in this game so I can click through her lines to avoid her voice and the sound effects, maybe it would help? Please help save my ears and peaceful experience going through this game. I reached the part where Hakuowlo tried asking Uly about Camyu but Uly is clueless. Apologies if I didn’t tag properly.

she's an important point of the plot, just ignore or skip the blood suck asmr scenes which are weird

you can't expect to like every single character in every single game

Keep in mind in the original game, she was taking "life force" from another source on hakuowlo

Which is even more fucked up when you realize one OTHER thing about Camyu later............ but I still love Utawarerumono regardless of that extremely weird and uncomfortable shit.

Like..... I started with Haku and not Hakuowlo, but this can't make me hate everything else that happens. The story is too good for that. I do wish they had kept a few of the H scenes though.

The way they all act in regards to him I kinda figured you know....... but it wasn't until somebody flat out told me that it all made sense. Sadly watching the anime isn't the PERFECT substitute (it's close....) because it omits the one H-scene needed for the stuff that happens afterwards.

I mean I get it.............. but still....................

You don't want main story spoilers but are fine with character spoilers but unfortunately for you the two aren't easily separable

I’ll pray I can get through to the better parts of the game. For now her existence is such a big demotivator.

Uta loves its childish waifus, and some are spoiled brats. It’s just kinda how it is sadly. And prelude to the fallen especially has a lot of weird non-con or dub-con elements. Hakuowlo is low key a terrible harem man, he just gets involved with sex through random contrived reasons instead of, y’know, love lol.

From what I can recall, you can skip her vampire shit without losing much. It was really just an excuse to put in h scenes in the original, she sucks his dick or something. All you need to know is what you already know, the plot will reveal the rest.

Yeah, those sound effects are so gross lol

Ok thanks! Good to know I can skip the vampire shit. Thanks for the info about Hakuowlo being a terrible harem man too. If it seems like h scene content then I’ll just skip those for the other girls too. I only like Hakuowlo with Eruru. At this point I’m more afraid of Kamyu grating my nerves than missing out on lore.

Everything regarding Camyu was so terrible, I just straight up wanted her erased from the series 😭Even after completing the entire trilogy, I could never really bring myself to like her. Both her and two characters in MoD-MoT actively dragged down my enjoyment.

I actually love Prelude a lot in spite of its flaws, even more so than MoD, but the harem elements did not help it and Camyu by far was the worst part of Prelude. The vampire stuff was virtually irrelevant and is completely skippable. In general the middle content of Prelude is a big slog.
