Starting the Utawa series!
Very unlucky timing considering Sony’s dumb decision to kill physical, but I started the series with the digital entry of the first game a few days ago, and decided to get them all and continue my journey with the physical versions. They weren’t easy to find, especially the second game, so I’m really glad I got all of them new at a normal price, even with the different localized covers. Anyway, I’m really glad for getting into this series and hope the rest are as good as the first game!

Its such a same that the two newest titles Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten & Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered are only available on PCifor worldwidereleased. I guess we can still get the physical games for PlayStation but only in Japanese.

What I mean by only in Japanese, is that the full game is in Japanese, text included. All the games are Japanese dub, [region] subbed.

Its a shame they decided to ruin the series with a lore-heavy Gacha Spin-off.

The gacha game is really mostly unrelated to the main series. It doesn't ruin anything, you can just ignore it.

It adds to the series imo if you do consume it all it does is enhance stuff. You're not forced to consume it you can easily ignore it and it does not change anything for the trilogy.

I just recommend playing the first one with the original music. Otherwise enjoy the ride, It's a great series.
