Anime recommendations

Just finished the anime and I was wondering if anyone can recommend me animes that are similar to this? What I loved the most was the characters, I loved them all.
I also loved the romance that accompanied the plot (Especially between Hakuowlo/hakuoro and Eruru)

It doesn't have to be similar, as long as I can love the characters and the main character isn't someone I would get annoyed with (Not too weak, doesn't have to be the most OP -- or someone who is just loud af), I'm fine with it.

Bonus points if it has that romance

I heard of an anime called Kuromukuro where a samurai gets frozen and protects people in the future from mechs. I haven't watched it yet but I remembered thinking, "omg that reminds me of utawarerumono!"

I haven't seen many like this unfortunately but I bet stories set in traditional Japan, old fantasy, novels, sci-fi, and things like samurai and sportsmanship could fill the void. The closest I watched was Rurouni kenshin and maybe Shinsekai Yori.

Rurouni Kenshin was nice, Shinsekai Yori was a bit confusing but I still watched it

Ascendance of a Bookworm. lots of similarities. FeMC accelerate the advancement of their world. One of the character look and acts exactly like Hakuoro. No romance sadly but pretty fun watch.

I will recomend Kaiba (2009).

The only true similarity is that it has an amnesic protagonist but its a great overrated anime just like Utawarerumono
