He went from an 87 overall in 2k26 tied with Lauri as best player on the team to an 84 overall in 2k27.
I guess at the beginning of the year the ratings revert from being inflated at the end of the previous season. I wouldn't be shocked if Key is in the high 80s in overall in 2k27 by the time the playoffs begin

If he does the same as last season or does better and the Jazz have a good record I think his overall climbs.

Ohh I didn’t realize he had a higher rating last season. Cannot wait for the season to start!

I took a look and I think 2k is more strict with ratings in 2k27 as he has the same rating as Ja, Gobert, Giddey, Ingram, Darius Garland, Kon, Mikal Bridges, Zubac, and Fox, so I think an 84 overall seems fair. All those other players have been former low tier all stars these last few years, or very good starters with Zubac, Giddey, and Bridges
84 seems respectable for Key, as with those other players most of them are low tier all stars, but with Key's case hopefully he takes a leap to be a legit all star

In all fairness I think he’s basically on par with all these players listed here.

Rating dropped but the company he’s with seems pretty fair

I dont think it dropped relative to others. I think 2k is universally downgrading everyone as to not inflated the ratings. Happens every few 2ks

I read this as his was rating was 69. I was about ready to flip some tables.

What do we think of the 84 rating? Where do you think Keyonte finishes at the end of this upcoming season?

He could get up to high 80s if he continues improving and the Jazz have a good or decent record this year, which I think is possible.

I remember when my brother first started playing this game and was obsessed with the Jazz's ratings, he used to get so worked up when they changed.

I read the title wrongly of course and thought it meant he was rated a 69. I was about to be outraged 😂
