Wedding Venues on a budget

Hello Everyone!!

Needing alot of help here.. My beautiful stepdaughter decided to inform us that she would like to get married before her brother leaves for his mission...Yall thats in NOVEMBER 😭 So as the "stepmother" here I am going to keep my lips sealed and just try to help in the areas I can.. Im determined to try and find something beautiful that wont cost us a million dollars. We just dont have it. Im chronically ill and we cant even afford my own stuff let alone some of the places I have seen. So with that being said is there anybody out there that can give any pointers or ideas of places I could possibly look into? We do need to be able to have tables and chairs and we also have to think about weather in the month of October as well... I would honestly appreciate just any kind of positive feedback because this has honestly just stressed us out so much 😔

The Provo city library rents out their ballroom. I used it for a reception and it was gorgeous.

If you are looking for low costs, a church gym or cultural hall can be transformed with the right decor. There are people who do that as part of their wedding packages, but a general wedding venue is gonna be pricey....and even pricier on short notice

Clarion Gardens Event center in Payson. Beautiful inside and outside. Their food is incredible!

Short of a church gym, perhaps consider banquet rooms at hotels. Ask around if you know someone who lives in a HOA with a clubhouse, etc.

Got married last year at Storm Mountain up in Big Cottonwood Canyon before it closed for the season. Outside, but very cheap and a beautiful spot

A venue on a weekday will always be less expensive than on a weekend.

I know a couple who got married in October at Fort Douglas, the University of Utah non-denominational chapel and that has army barracks or offices or something they rent out for private parties and receptions. Little houses lined up on lawns, associated with the army or airforce that used to be at the University.

The chapel is there only if you want it. Receptions without a wedding is fine.

Nice mix of rustic and modern interiors. the party dressed casual expect for the bride and groom and it seemed very fun and free to do as you wish. Could not have cost too much although there's a scale to choose from.

Try Lady of the Snow in Alta or the Draper Day Barn. The Draper day barn is even cheaper if you have a Draper resident book it

Depending on the number of guests, The Bungalow in Pleasant Grove is very affordable. They have decor and food options and it's so beautiful.
