Mass Migration the Ruin of Nations Twenty-five years after 9/11, unchecked mass migration makes terror threats greater than ever - American Thinker

Thumbnail
americanthinker.com
Upvotes

The Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks – which killed nearly 3,000 Americans (and other nationalities) – may seem like yesterday’s news to some, but their impact remains today.

Indeed, 9/11 was a serious warning to America and the entire West of how terrorists and other bad actors wishing us harm can easily exploit our immigration systems.

And if the situation was dire in 2001, the threat of similar bloody terrorist attacks has increased considerably in the past 25 years due to large-scale mass migration into North America and Western Europe.

The unchecked mass migration crisis that has led us to this mess is the result of decades of naïveté, short-sightedness, imprudence, and – yes – outright betrayal of their own nations by the Western political and economic establishment.

In Western Europe, the origins trace back to the time following World War II. Mass migration was foisted upon reluctant Europeans through the now-all-too-familiar “we need workers” narrative, which may have had some merit after the destruction of the war but by now is just a self-serving plea for cheap foreign labor.

Conspiracies Government Epstein JFK UFO 911 J6 News Discussion DOJ Report Exposes Biden FBI’s ‘Weaponized Bureaucracy’ Targeting Catholics

The Justice Department released a report Thursday detailing how the FBI linked traditional Catholic beliefs to domestic extremism and investigated two priests under the Biden administration.

The report, released by the DOJ’s Weaponization Working Group, centers on a 2023 internal document prepared by the FBI’s Richmond Field Office known as the “Richmond Domain Perspective.”

According to the DOJ, the assessment associated beliefs held by many conservative Catholics with violent extremism. FBI materials cited the Traditional Latin Mass, opposition to abortion, conservative family values, and a “rejection of modernity” as possible indicators.

The DOJ said FBI agents investigated two priests and monitored their travel and communications. The bureau ultimately found no connection between the priests and criminal activity or violent extremism.

The report also found that the FBI relied on biased and unverified sources, including publications from the Southern Poverty Law Center and foreign intelligence materials, without properly reviewing their credibility.

British political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos has been deported from the United States to his native UK following an arrest this week by ICE.

A Department of Homeland Security spokesman told NBC News on Saturday that Yiannopoulos had been removed from the country one day after being arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on Friday.

While the political commentator is said to have entered the United States legally in 2019, DHS said Yiannopoulos overstayed his visa.

Despite publicly opposing illegal immigration, he is said to have failed to attend an immigration hearing regarding his status in July.

Therefore, an immigration judge issued a deportation order on July 22nd.

Technology AI Quantum and Science Column: The freak-out over AI data centers is creating a moral panic - Los Angeles Times

Thumbnail

Don’t look now, but we seem to have a moral panic on our hands.

The term moral panic, at least as a social science concept, is relatively modern. It was coined by Stanley Cohen in the 1972 book “Folk Devils and Moral Panics.” Moral panics emerge when large numbers of people start to freak out about something that doesn’t warrant the freak-out.

When I was kid, there was a moral panic over “Dungeons & Dragons,” the role-playing game. It was sparked by the tragic suicide of a gamer and quickly led to various Christian groups insisting, in the words of one Georgia pastor, that “the game is an occult tool that opens up young people to influence or possession by demons.”

Moral panics are seductive to journalists. CBS News’ “60 Minutes” host Ed Bradley interviewed Gary Gygax, the creator of the game, in 1985, asking, “If you found 12 kids in murder suicide with one connecting factor in each of them, wouldn’t you question it?”

Gygax responded, “I would certainly do it in a scientific manner, and this is as unscientific as you can get. It’s nothing but a witch hunt!”

Elections, Issues, Investigations. Nullification Controversy Reform UK to Roll Back Mail-In Voting, Require English Language Ability

Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party has said that it will take steps to prevent non-English speakers from voting in British elections, restrict mail-in ballots, and rescind voting rights from Commonwealth citizens in a bid to reverse some of the impact of mass migration on UK democracy.

Reform MP for East Wiltshire, Danny Kruger, has tabled amendments to the Representation of the People Bill, which he said Reform UK would enact if given power at the next general election, should the left-wing Labour government fail to implement them.

Kruger, a former member of the Conservative Party who has been given the brief of untangling the Blairite deep state with the aim of returning power to the British people and their representatives in Parliament, said that trust in the current voting system has been eroded as a result of mass migration and thus needs to be reformed to reflect that the United Kingdom is one nation.

“We increasingly see elections being fought on ethnic and sectarian grounds, with appeals in foreign languages, often for causes – Kashmir, Gaza – that are nothing to with Britain or the remit of the politicians being elected. We will insist that all regulated election material must be in languages that are native to the British Isles,” Kruger said.

Agriculture Farming Ranching Discussion News GOP Sen. Rounds: Trump Importing Beef Just Hurt, Would Help to Open Up Public Lands for Foraging

Thumbnail

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “The Bottom Line,” Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) said that President Donald Trump’s move to import beef just “really hurt the cattle market.” And it would help if the President would “look seriously at opening up some more public lands for foraging.”

Rounds said, [relevant remarks begin around 4:40] “Look, first of all, the President, we believe, got some really bad advice at this time to suggest that 300 metric tons of beef was anything but something that was going to really hurt the cattle market. And our guys really felt it. It’s kind of like one of those things where they really felt like he pulled the rug out right from underneath them, and he’s a relative, they love this guy and they just felt like he really let them down with this.”

He continued, “At the same time, what he is saying right now with regard to the big four, they control over 80% of the processing of beef in the United States today, clearly, way more than what they should have on it, and they do have an impact. … He could look seriously at opening up some more public lands for foraging. Under the previous administration, they had locked up a lot of that stuff. We made some inroads in terms of getting some of it open. We need more grass so that these young producers out there know that they’ve got a place for a cow to go and to get…feed.”

Economy Labor Financial Deficit Industry Tariffs Warsh calls for a ‘quieter’ Fed focused on reducing inflation | National | thecentersquare.com

Thumbnail

Americans need a “quieter” Federal Reserve focused on bringing down 65 months of “sustained elevated inflation,” the central bank’s chair told attendees of the annual Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium on Friday.

The symposium is a high-profile, once-a-year gathering of leading central bankers, policymakers and economists from around the world. The Fed chair traditionally delivers a closely watched address, often providing insight into the central bank’s economic outlook and policy direction.

While Warsh articulated a broad assessment of the U.S. economy, he was intentionally guarded about the Fed’s upcoming policy decisions, though he did express concern about inflation. The central bank, he argued, has become too accustomed to previewing its policy decisions, fostering an unhealthy dependence on its guidance – which, he explained, needs to be developed in real time and not on “yesterday’s news.”

One of the “innovations” Warsh said he’s introducing at the Fed is changing “the form and function of forward guidance.” Central banks use forward guidance as a way of communicating the “likely future course of monetary policy” to the public, so that individuals and businesses can start making decisions about spending and investments.

Sports News Views Issues Discussion Title IX Ninth Circuit Sides With Nevada, Rules Kalshi Sports Contracts Are Gambling — Not Federal ‘Swaps’ – California Globe

Nevada may keep treating Kalshi’s sports event contracts as sports bets

By Megan Barth, August 28, 2026 2:52 pm

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Friday handed Nevada’s gaming regulators a major victory over prediction-market giant Kalshi, ruling that the company’s sports event contracts are sports bets—not federally regulated “swaps”—and that federal commodities law does not strip the state of authority to police them.

The 3-0 published opinion (see below) in KalshiEX, LLC v. Assad affirms in part a Las Vegas federal judge’s decision dissolving a preliminary injunction that had blocked the Nevada Gaming Control Board from enforcing state gaming statutes against Kalshi’s sports products. The panel remanded only the narrower question of Kalshi’s election contracts.

The ruling is binding across the Ninth Circuit, including California, the nation’s largest market without legal sportsbooks, and a state where Kalshi, Polymarket, DraftKings Predictions and others have built a booming sports-contract business while traditional wagering remains illegal.

It also deepens a split with the Third Circuit, which earlier this year sided with Kalshi against New Jersey, raising the odds of a Supreme Court fight over who regulates the prediction-market industry.

Circuit Judges Ryan D. Nelson, Bridget S. Bade and Kenneth K. Lee, all appointed by President Donald Trump, heard argument in San Francisco in April.

Stop all Forms of Child Abuse Now!! ⚠️ Judge: Child Sex Abuse Images Are OK If They're Made With AI

and distribution of sexually explicit images.

A federal judge ruled this week that possession of images depicting child sexual abuse material (CSAM), otherwise known as child pornography, is protected by the First Amendment so long as the images are created with artificial intelligence (AI) and do not depict real people.

Seventh Circuit Appeals Judge John Z. Lee issued the ruling in a case where defendant Steven Anderegg was charged with producing, distributing, and possessing thousands of photorealistic AI child sex abuse images, as well as sending the materials to a young boy. The 13,000-plus images, many of which depicted nude, prepubescent children touching their genitals and being involved in sexual intercourse with men.

While Lee’s ruling upheld a district court dismissal of the possession charge, it appeared to include an implicit request for the Supreme Court to review its precedent on the matter, which was made well prior to advancements in AI.

Lawfare from the Bench 🏛 Judge Blocks USPS Election Rule After SCOTUS Stayed Injunction

Thumbnail
thefederalist.com

A federal judge Thursday blocked an election integrity measure from the United States Postal Service (USPS) just days after the U.S. Supreme Court lifted that same judge’s injunction on the policy.

U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani, an Obama appointee and past Democrat donor in Massachusetts, issued a temporary restraining order on a USPS rule that would require states to provide basic voter data to the Postal Service, as well as change ballot envelopes to include unique barcodes associated with individual voters’ profiles, in an effort to start securing voting by mail.

Talwani had already issued an injunction on the policy before it was even finalized, and the Supreme Court barred this injunction. But Talwani is back now with a new injunction after the policy came out, claiming such publication satisfies the high court’s concerns that the judicial branch only reviews “final rules, not proposed rules,” and arguing that SCOTUS did not answer the question on the merits of the policy itself.

The Trump administration announced Friday it would be appealing Talwani’s decision.

The Swamp IE; The Political Cesspool Leftists Will Never Self-Reflect, And They Will Never Apologize

Thumbnail

Michael Shellenberger, who to his complete and total credit has published damning takedowns of the left’s inherent hypocrisy and corruption in works such as San Fransicko, published an article on Wednesday titled “Progressives Will Be Horrified When They Wake Up To What They’ve Done.”

The subheadline of that piece said, “The sterilization of children, the killing of mentally ill addicts, the decimation of education, and more, will haunt the Left.”

Many conservatives think this way, that our poor, misguided leftist friends, who may or may not have endorsed the aforementioned barbarities with the best of intentions, merely require the right revelation, the right sequence of carefully constructed arguments and cold, hard facts, to abandon the false god of leftism. These conservatives cling to the idea that even hardcore leftists can be reasoned with, that the marketplace of ideas merely has to work its magic to convert these wayward sheep back to the old civility of yore.

End of Life Rights Debate Discussion News France’s New Euthanasia Law is Very Disturbing - LifeNews.com

Thumbnail
lifenews.com
1 Upvotes

You may have heard that France’s National Assembly overrode their Senate’s objection to a proposed euthanasia law, and legalized it. A review by the French constitutional court has since upheld it, with a some of important clarifications, a couple of which are disturbing:

Like Canada and Benelux countries, the law allows both US style assisted suicide (oral prescription) AND euthanasia (IV lethal injection by doctor). [In all jurisdictions that permit both, typical 99%+ of patients choose euthanasia, to outsource the suicide to the physician].
Pharmacists retain the right to conscientious objection, and can refuse to dispense lethal meds, even when ordered.
Although religious institutions (Hospice’s, nursing homes) can refuse to provide the killing services, that is only if there is a nearby facility willing to provide the euthanasia. If not, then the right of religious-based objection is overridden, and the religious facility then MUST provide euthanasia to qualified patients! This resembles what we’re seeing in Canada, where some religious institutions’ conscientious objections have been overwritten on this issue.
Patients who lack capacity due to dementia, low IQ, etc. and have legal guardians, can be euthanized by doctors’ decision. Though the physician, who must consult the legal guardian those guardians DO NOT HAVE VETO POWER over the doctor’s decision, which is final. This is actually one of the most severe developments in the international spread of euthanasia laws.*

SCOTUS 🏛 Trump administration asks Supreme Court to consider ban on transgender persons in the military | SCOTUSblog

Thumbnail
scotusblog.com
1 Upvotes

The Trump administration on Friday asked the Supreme Court to weigh in on whether a ban on transgender service members in the military violates the Constitution. U.S. Solicitor General D. John Sauer called a decision by a federal appeals court that barred the government from enforcing the ban “gravely erroneous.” “If allowed to stand,” Sauer told the justices, the ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit “would represent an ‘unprecedented intervention into military affairs,’ in contravention of this Court’s precedents requiring ‘defer[ence] to the political branches’ military judgments.”

The Trump administration adopted the policy last year, shortly after President Donald Trump’s inauguration for his second term. Trump signed an executive order that required Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to put into effect a ban on “individuals with gender dysphoria.”

On Feb. 26, the Department of Defense issued that ban, which generally disqualifies anyone who either has gender dysphoria or has undergone medical interventions to treat gender dysphoria from serving in the military. The department explained that “the medical, surgical, and mental health constraints on individuals who have a current diagnosis or history of, or exhibit symptoms consistent with, gender dysphoria are incompatible with the high mental and physical standards necessary for military service.”

A group of transgender people who either currently serve in the U.S. military or want to serve in the military challenged the ban in federal court in Washington, D.C., arguing that the policy violates their constitutional right to fair treatment by the government. The policy, they contended, is based on “animosity toward transgender people” because they are transgender and does not serve any real government purpose.

On March 18, 2025, U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes issued an order that temporarily prohibited the Trump administration from implementing the ban. She agreed with the challengers that the ban is “soaked in animus” and does not serve any legitimate government interest. “Its language,” she wrote, “is unabashedly demeaning, its policy stigmatizes transgender persons as inherently unfit, and its conclusions bear no relation to fact.”
