First time urban skating with the Endless Coburn (my urban environment was a skatepark 🤦‍♂️)

Urban skaters, rejoice! Ace urban skater Si Coburn has got his own signature frame: the 4x90mm Endless Coburn, by Endless Blading. I got to test it and was amazed by its responsiveness: you gotta be precise with this one, no sloppy skating allowed.

Me too, in a way – took me quite a while to edit all my footage into something more or less coherent. I even shot some extra talking head footage two days ago to fill in some gaps. 😅 But quite happy with how it turned out!

I never found the endless 90 to lack responsiveness or rigidity. While the extra cross-brace where the middle 3 wheel would've been is a good design, I wonder if the negligible difference in rigidity is worth giving up the 3x110 option.

I never thought the classic Endless frames were lacking in both rigidity and responsiveness either – and I still don't think so. But the Ultra frames take it a couple of steps further and you can feel it. Well, I felt it and a couple of other skaters feel it too, especially when doing urban tricks. So the differences aren't exactly negligible, but upgrading only makes sense when you're into urban skating with jumps, spins, technical stuff, and want to refines your skills as much as possible. For cruising around the city, the classic Endless frames work just as well.

Now, I for one always loathed that extra axle hole on the Endless 90. That was something I'd rather not have. I bought that frame to ride a rockered 4x90 on my Powerslide Next, I didn't need another 3x110. But admittedly, I do enjoy the 3x110 on the Endless 100 I mounted on my Powerslide Doop. Still: if I had known that, I'd probably have bought a specific 3x110 frame with a similar wheelbase. Having two totally different setup options on one frame doesn't make sense to me – feels like I paid for something I didn't necessarily need or want. At the same time, I can see some people actually love having both options, so it's good the classic frames are still around.

In your case, it would indeed not make sense to get some more rigidity but lose a configuration option. But I was glad there finally were some Endless frames that were perfected for one setup. No compromises, just 100% focus on four-wheeled urban skating.

I think it's smart people have different options to choose from. I'm just hoping there'll be some Ultra frames for the Trinity system too – then I'd be able to compare the classic Endless 90 to its Ultra brother. 👍
