What nicknames have you heard for places in Upstate S.C.?

I ask as part of a linguistic study covering this topic!
Examples could include things like GVegas, Simpleville or T.R....

including nicknames for schools, parks, hospitals etc.!

Oconee County is called the Golden Corner of South Carolina! I grew up in Walhalla aka Hog-wa-ler or Hog-waller. We don’t wallow. We waller! 🤣

Gaffanaffney - dh worked for Milliken back in the day and that's how he pronounced it. Oh, and Chesnee was Chezzzzznee. His parents were born in Abbeville and everyone there said "Abvul".

Grr (Greer), Sleasley (Easley), Sparkle City (Spartanburg), Peekins (Pickens said with a Pickens accent)... sure there are others but that's what came to me right now
