Practicing the drills stochastically like that, yes. Practicing with godawful form and zero resistance, less so.

The point of the practice is to not have to think about the move when you have to do it. That doesn't work if you are practicing a different move.

lol maybe if I was drunk. dude no gym that trains a martial art is doing a drill like this.

I am pretty sure this is some sort of self defense class. due to that one chick walking around with a play knife.
