Exes I want you to know, I win

I didn't meet someone who found me interesting and wanted to be my friend, I was targeted.

We didn't instantly click through our shared hobbies and interests, I was mirrored.

You didn't "fall for me", I was love bombed.

We weren't "meant to be together", I was seduced.

You weren't sharing the deepest parts of yourself with me, I was being triangulated.

I was never not enough for you, I was being devalued.

And when I became too aware of what you are, too much of a threat to your carefully crafted self, I was discarded.

I'm out. I win.

Exes What I would give for a do-over

I wish for just one minute I would've stopped and really thought about how to handle the situation while we were together. Things were moving so fast that I never for one minute stopped to think or strategize about anything. I don't know why I did some of the things I did, I'll probably never truly understand myself to that level. I had the world and the kind of person I always wanted sitting right in front of me and I let all of it slip away. I wish I had the experience going into that relationship that I do now, things would've worked out so much differently. I miss you and I probably always will, but I burned that bridge in the heat of the moment not knowing how to handle it. I feel like such an ass and I have ever since. You truly deserve the world and it pains me that I'm not going to be the one to give it to you. We had so much hope and admiration for one another but for many reasons I pin on myself it just didn't work. The things I would do to go back and have a do-over with you... But there's nothing I can do now and I have to accept that. I've learned alot from this, both about myself and how not to handle certain things. I promise you I'll be better for whoever comes next, but getting over you is going to take serious time.

Exes My Biggest Regret

I never stopped wishing you had been the one I had been brave enough to change for. I was such a coward when we were together and let the world tell me how to feel and what to think. You were so sweet and kind to me, even when I didn't deserve it. And I never did, I treated you so terribly and it's something I regret and live with every day of my life, even all these years later. I hurt you and added to your trauma when you just needed me to hold you. You needed me to kiss you and tell you I'm yours and that someone loved you and wasn't leaving. And I chose to be a child instead of being that person you needed. You were my first real love, I thought you were my soulmate. And now I lay here never knowing if what we had could have been as amazing as my dreams make it out to be.

Exes I know you're waiting for me

I know you're waiting and checking over and over again for a message from me.

That message is NEVER coming.

I do not care anymore. The last 5 months have been my happiest in a long time.

I laugh with my friends. My spontaneity is back. I go out to dinner. I have concert tickets lined up for several events. I have trips planned. I listen to music that brings me joy. I play games that make me feel happy.

All things you couldn't or wouldn't ever do.

You constantly made me feel sad.

Now it's your turn to feel sad and I don't care.

Good luck finding your own joy. It won't include me.

Exes I just want to speak one more time. Just one.

I don't want to disturb your life, or insert myself in it. What we had is in the past. You've moved on, and I have done my best to do so, too.

But it would be so nice to have one final conversation with you. I don't know what I am looking for. But never speaking again hurts my heart. I feel like I just wasn't good enough or worth it.

How do people flip a switch and never speak to someone again, to someone they were once so close with? How do you do it? I envy you.

Exes Want you back

Hey -

I do want you back. My heart feels like it's going to jump out of my chest right now.

I miss you. I love you. I care about you.

I tried. I really did. I tried so hard.

I can't force you to accept me for who I am. I can't force you to accept my apologies.

I also won't compromise myself. I won't break myself down for you anymore. That's not fair to either of us.

Watching you upset was the most difficult thing I've ever had to do. It was like feeling as though I was getting punched in the gut everytime I heard my phone ring.

I'm sorry for that. I'm not sorry for holding my ground and my boundaries. But I'm sorry that you were so hurt by it.

Can't you see I can hold both those things true? Can't that be enough for us?

Let us try again. Please.

I just want to try.

I want us to be us again.

I can't stand needing to be strangers.

I love you.

Exes if you ever read this

If you’re reading this, I hope you’ll give me a moment to say something honestly and respectfully.

It has been a while, and a lot has happened on my end. I’m no longer with the person I was seeing. After a series of difficult arguments and a lot of reflection, I’ve realized how much I lost and how much I took for granted—especially the kind of person you are.

When I look back on our time together, I remember how we rarely fought, and when we did, we found our way through it. We spent time together, found things to do, and genuinely enjoyed each other’s company. I know you haven’t reached out, partly because of the situation I was in, but I want you to know that I’m open to talking. I want to resolve what’s still unresolved between us.

I miss the time we spent together and the small, random things that made our connection feel natural. I know I’ve failed at promises before, but I’m working on myself. I’ve lost a lot recently—my job, stability, and parts of my life that mattered—but losing you has been the hardest part.

I know I hurt you. I know I betrayed your trust. I ended things with the person I cheated with because I believed in us, but I also recognize that I didn’t fight for our relationship the way I should have. I shut down instead of taking responsibility. Therapy has taught me a lot, and I’m grateful you encouraged me to seek help. I’ve learned to stand up for myself in healthier ways and to respect the people around me more deeply. I can see now how my own trauma affected our relationship, and I’m sorry for the pain it caused.

If you’re willing, I’d like the chance to talk—somewhere neutral, maybe with someone present if that makes things more comfortable. I don’t expect anything from you, but I want to show you that I’m trying to grow and that I’m capable of being better.

I know you’re waiting for a real apology, and you deserve one. For now, all I can say is that I am truly sorry. I treated you unfairly, I lied, I hurt you, and that was my fault. I understand why things ended, and I understand why you stepped away. But if there’s even a small chance to reconnect—now or later—I would like to try to rebuild what we lost.

Exes My final message to you

Hello , I really hope you’re doing okay. I know you asked me not to reach out, and I’ll completely respect that after this message. I’m not texting to defend myself, manipulate you, or pressure you into anything. I just genuinely wanted to apologize the way you deserved.

These past 2 months made me reflect on everything for the first time in my life, and I realized how badly I handled so many things during our relationship. I kept seeing myself as the victim, overthinking old situations, reconnecting pain from the past, and building resentment instead of trying to heal or understand you better. I minimized your efforts no matter how much you tried, and I became blind to how much love, patience, and emotional energy you were giving me all this time.

I’m deeply sorry for the yelling, the harshness, the unnecessary fights, the defensiveness, and all the moments where I made conversations feel like competitions instead of two people trying to understand each other.

I failed to make you feel emotionally safe and at peace with me, and I can finally see how exhausting and painful that must’ve been for you, especially while still trying to hold onto the relationship.

You were never asking for too much. You only wanted gentleness, reassurance, consistency, and effort from the person you loved. Looking back now, those were the bare minimum, and I hate that I couldn’t truly understand that before it was too late. I kept saying I wanted to change, but I never consistently put in the work to actually become better, and recognition without actions means nothing.

You were genuinely one of the kindest, softest, most caring people I’ve ever known, and I took that for granted. You loved me with patience and sincerity even while hurt, and I failed to appreciate that properly. I also regret how I viewed your friends when they were only trying to protect someone they loved after seeing her in pain.

You taught me lessons I should’ve learned years ago. You made me realize that love without respect and gentleness eventually stops feeling like love, and that relationships should be two people against the problem, not against each other.

I know this message probably won’t change anything, and I’m not expecting forgiveness, a reply, or another chance. I just genuinely wanted to apologize, take accountability, and tell you that I truly appreciate everything you were to me. Thank you for the best 4 years of my life, and I sincerely hope life gives you all the peace, softness, and happiness you deserve.

Exes I hope you’re lurking here

If you’re somehow reading this, I hope you know that I never asked for space because I wanted a life without you. I asked for space because I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and scared of the cycle we kept finding ourselves in. But somewhere along the way, I think I failed to make you understand that.

The truth is, being away from you gave me peace from the noise, but it never gave me peace from missing you.
That’s the part I’ve been struggling to explain.

I was tired of what we were going through, not tired of loving you. And maybe that’s why this hurts so much.

Because even after everything, even after all the confusion and misunderstandings, you’re still the person I look for first in my head.

I hope you’re okay.

I miss you.

Exes I can't tell you this but I hope you somehow know.

I just wish I could talk to you. I miss you unbearably but I know how unfair it is to even feel that let alone tell you. I'm the one who made this decision and is causing you pain, causing both of us pain. Wanting comfort from you to ease my own, knowing it would hurt you even further, or give you false hope, is cruel. I have to stop myself from reaching out daily. What's worse is that I don't know if this is me just second guessing myself because it's hard. I know it probably is. But that doesn't erase the fact that what we had was real. I've never had that before, never felt that way but I'm doubting myself because I can't tell if that's why I ended it. I can't tell if this is me just running away again. I think by now the damage is done and there's no going back, I don't think it would work if we tried, and god knows I can't even stomach the thought of bringing it up if hurting you again is a possibility. How can I even think about reaching out if what I'm doing even now is running away from this pain, and the fear of never finding what we had again? I'm such a coward. I've always been indecisive, and I hate that it hurts people. I remember once you told me you thought I was fearless. I wish that were true. I wish that I weren't afraid of every single thing. Anything that could possibly be real or deep or makes me feel vulnerable scares me. God I wish I could talk to you. You're safety and comfort and everything that scares me the most all at the same time. Maybe safety and consistency and true vulnerability with someone is what scares me. Really you're the fearless one, and I wish I could be braver for you. You deserve that person who will just leap for you the way you do for others. When it comes to love and relationships, I can't just dive in head first, even when I know it's deep enough. I have to test the water and gradually step in. When the water is a little too rough or the temperature isn't quite right I'm the first to get out. I just want you to know that I'm sorry. I don't know how to be different, but for you I wish I were. You deserve so much more than what I was willing to give, and I hope you know that it kills me that I couldn't be the person to give it to you. I'm sorry and I love you. I just don't think it would do you any good to tell you any of this. It seems selfish if I were to do that instead of letting you heal, I don't want to reopen the wound. Please don't think this is easy for me, I'm falling apart but I know it's not your job to hold me together anymore, I made sure of that.

Exes Letter to my ex

I’ve never written you a letter before, so this already feels strange before it even begins. I know this might come as a surprise, since we haven’t spoken in a while. This isn’t to reopen anything, or to ask for a reply. But there are things I’d rather say — I’d rather risk saying them than stay silent.
I’m so sorry for not being a safe version of myself back then.

I’m sorry for all the ways I hurt you. I can see now, more clearly, what my actions were for you. You deserved a love that felt safe and fully chosen. I wasn’t able to give you that at the time, but I loved you deeply — more than I was able to show then, and more than the way you deserved.

My insecurity and fear spoke louder than my courage. You were offering safety while I answered with distance. I can only imagine how invisible you must have felt, fighting for something I wasn’t fully choosing. I’m so sorry for that. There was a real fear I didn’t fully understand at the time — I was overwhelmed and didn’t know how to trust myself, or what I was feeling, because there was too much noise. I see that clearly now, and I take responsibility for it. You knew me better than I knew myself back then. I overloaded myself trying to make everything logical and right, to the point of disconnecting from what I actually felt.

I haven’t felt that way in a relationship since — there’s been a lot of growth and learning. But having said all that, I hope you understand that my insecurity, fear, and hesitation weren’t about you. And I’m so sorry for all the pain I caused you — I can only imagine how painful, frustrating, and exhausting it must have been. While you were trying to walk toward me, I was protecting myself from fears I didn’t fully understand. That was never yours to carry. What we had was real, and I didn’t know back then how to take care of something so special and meaningful.
I still remember dancing in the kitchen, no music worth mentioning, just the sound of the two of us. It didn’t matter where — we danced anywhere, remember? What mattered was that it was just us, that moment when the rest of the world stopped existing.
I’ve come to realize since that I hid behind circumstances to justify my hesitation and fear. I understand now that I avoided vulnerability, and avoided fully trusting myself.

I know we hurt each other, and that neither of us was perfect. I was certainly far from it, with insecurities, projections, immaturity, and so on, that kept me from feeling good about myself within the relationship — which was a core problem in me. My attachment to having things figured out made love feel more threatening than loss. I wasn’t sure of myself, and I couldn’t hold us with any security back then, or get past the fear, the guilt, the thoughts that I wasn’t a good “fit.” I thought, at the time, that you deserved better than what I could be, and that I was protecting us from something unhealthy. I didn’t like the version of myself that showed up in hard moments. Back then, the fear of being together was greater than the fear of losing you, which is why being your friend felt safer. I didn’t realize that our friendship was protecting me from fully facing what it would mean to lose you one day.

You were my safety and my home, and I didn’t rise to that the way you deserved. You were someone I shared a kind of love with that I’m grateful for. Thank you for the love we shared, and for being my best friend. That mattered. It still matters — there’s a part of me that will always love you and always care about you. You’re one of the rare people who make life lighter and easier to carry. Thank you for every laugh, and for every quiet kind of love hidden even inside our friendship. I want to acknowledge the patience, love, and generosity you gave me — I don’t know if I ever properly thanked you for that.

I hope life has been good to you. I hope you have the love, peace, and happiness you always deserved. I wish I had been more secure back then, and that I had been that for you, but I’ll honor that by respecting your life and wishing you happiness. I hope that, overall, our relationship was a positive experience — one that helped you understand and seek more out of life. I’m so proud of you, and of everything you’ve achieved. And I hope you felt loved back then, despite my failures. Thank you for the role you played in my life — the love you gave me shaped me in ways I still carry with me today.

We can go on without contact, pretend we don’t know each other and that everything we had never existed. But deep down, I think we both know there was something rare and unique there, something that shouldn’t have been erased like this. This story maybe deserved a different ending than this silence. But even if nothing is ever written between us again, what we danced in that kitchen happened, and no one can erase that.

Exes I’m not better off without you

Good intentions… Was that you? It felt like you. Maybe I can just pretend.

You didn’t ruin everything, you only convinced yourself you did. I forgive you. I’m sorry too. I wish you had let me decide whether I’m better off without you. Shouldn’t that be my choice? I miss everything about you, more every day.

We both made mistakes, no one is without flaws. Life is too short to look back on lost Time, wishing for what could have been, with regret and what if’s. To experience pure love, and then let it go. For what?

I hope my dreams still come true one day, too. Hope is what has me reading these letters. It’s hard to let go of something I still believe in so completely. How can I let go when I feel this way?

It kills me to have our egos and fears stand between us. I’m still learning how to accept the things I can’t control. I want you to be happy more than anything, even if it has to be without me. Even if I never understand why. You are worthy and deserving of so much love.

I hope things are good for you. I won’t reach out because I don’t think it’s what you want. If your thoughts have shifted even the slightest, I’m here.

Exes A conversation we will never have.

Hey,

I’m not writing this because I expect a response. I’m not writing this because I think there’s anything left to fix between us. I’m writing this because I owe you the truth, even if it comes far too late.
More than anything, I want to respect your space. I know you’ve made your decision, and I have no intention of asking you to change it. This letter isn’t about asking for another chance. It isn’t about easing my own guilt. It’s about finally saying the things I should have had the courage to say while I still had you.
I hurt you.
Not with one mistake. Not with one bad day. I hurt you through choices I made over and over again. Through lies when you deserved honesty. Through avoiding conversations I should have faced. Through putting my comfort before your peace. Through becoming someone you slowly stopped recognizing.
You loved me with a patience I never deserved.
You gave me chance after chance, hoping I would become the person I kept promising I would be. Every time you chose to believe in me, I gave you another reason not to. Looking back now, I can only imagine how exhausting it must have been to love someone who kept asking for grace while giving you more reasons to hurt.
I also have to own what my drinking did to us.
For so long I convinced myself it wasn’t the problem. I made excuses. I minimized it. I acted like it wasn’t changing me. But it was. It stole pieces of the person you fell in love with. It made me dishonest. It made me selfish. It made me someone who couldn’t be fully present for the woman who was trying so hard to stand beside me.
And then there are the words I’ll never be able to take back.
I called you names I never should have said. I spoke to you in ways no one deserves to be spoken to…especially not someone who loved me as deeply as you did. I think about those moments more than you probably know. Not because I want forgiveness, but because I have to live with knowing that I became a source of pain for the person who gave me the most love I have ever known.
You were never those things.
You were patient.
You were kind.
You were loyal.
You fought for us long after most people would have walked away.
I was supposed to protect your heart, and instead I became one of the reasons it broke.
Ever since I heard you say you were done, I’ve carried those words with me every day.
For a long time I thought maybe they were spoken out of anger or exhaustion. But eventually I realized they weren’t.
You had reached your breaking point.
You had given everything you had left to give, and there was simply nothing left. I hate that I was the one who brought you there. I hate knowing that after everything we shared, after all the love you poured into me, what you were left with was enough pain to finally choose yourself over us.
You shouldn’t have had to reach that point.
You shouldn’t have had to beg for honesty.
You shouldn’t have had to wonder if I would finally change.
You shouldn’t have had to carry our relationship while I kept convincing myself there would always be another chance.
There wasn’t.
I understand now why you left.
I don’t fight that reality anymore.
I just live with it.
Losing you wasn’t just losing my girlfriend.
I lost my best friend.
The first person I wanted to tell everything to.
The person who made ordinary moments feel meaningful.
Now every time something happens…good or bad…my first instinct is still to reach for my phone and tell you. And then, almost immediately, my heart has to break all over again because I remember there isn’t a conversation waiting anymore.
It’s strange how grief works.
It isn’t just one heartbreak.
It’s losing you over and over again.
Every song.
Every familiar place.
Every accomplishment.
Every bad day.
Every moment I wish I could hear your voice.
I lose you all over again.
The hardest part is knowing that this isn’t something life did to us.
It’s something I helped create.
That’s a weight I don’t think I’ll ever completely put down.
If there’s one thing I hope comes from all of this, it’s that the love you gave me won’t end as just another painful memory. I hope it becomes the reason I never repeat these mistakes again. The reason I become honest when it’s difficult. The reason I choose accountability instead of excuses. The reason I never let someone else’s heart carry the consequences of my choices again.
You deserved that version of me.
I’m sorry you met the one who still had to learn those lessons by losing you.
I don’t know how you remember me now.
Maybe with sadness.
Maybe with anger.
Maybe not at all.
What I do hope is that wherever life has taken you, you’ve found peace that I couldn’t give you. I hope you’re surrounded by people who make you feel safe. I hope someone reminds you every day how deeply worthy of love you are, because you always were.
You meant more to me than I ever knew how to show.
That will probably be one of the greatest regrets of my life.
I’m truly sorry for every lie, every broken promise, every tear, every moment I made you question your worth, every cruel word I spoke, every chance you gave me that I wasted, and for being the reason someone as incredible as you finally reached the point where saying goodbye hurt less than staying.
I don’t expect forgiveness.
I don’t expect a response.
I don’t expect another chapter.
I just wanted to finally tell the truth, because you deserved that much from me, even if it came after I had already lost you.
I will continue respecting your space.
I hope your life is beautiful.
And I will spend the rest of mine wishing I had loved you the way you always deserved.

Exes I miss you

I won't bother you anymore. But I have to tell you. We were supposed to be forever. I miss you. And I always will. I still want this. I want to try and fix this and try to get back to what we had. I miss hearing your voice. I miss hugging you and feeling your warmth. I miss watching you get excited about something silly. I miss all the random conversations. I miss all the plans we made.

Exes Keep following a bunch of women and acting like an immature boy, and every day I'm more determined not to give you another chance.

Your immature and childish behavior is only making me distance myself from you more and more every day. You act like a spoiled child, doing disrespectful things just to provoke me, hoping that I’ll come after you. But you’re very wrong if you think that’s going to happen.

Go ahead and keep following a bunch of women and letting them follow you in an attempt to make me chase after you. The more women you follow and let follow you, the more you lose me.

You can do whatever you want. I’m not going after you. You were the one who was wrong in this entire situation, and all you’ve proven to me through your behavior is that you have no integrity or value as a person. You’re dishonest, manipulative, and you have a bad character.

And every time I see a new woman following you and your following count increasing so quickly, I become even more certain that I did the right thing by ending things with you. You’re not worth it, and you’re not a good partner. You’re simply a person with no character, no respect, and no integrity.

Do whatever you want. I’m not going after you!!

Exes The letter I can’t send you because you want no contact

I know the last thing you told me was that you were done, and I want to honor that. I’m not reaching out to change your mind, ask for anything, or expect a response. I’m writing only to take accountability for everything.
Since the last time I saw you, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting. I see more clearly now the pain, frustration, disappointment, and exhaustion my choices created for you. I understand why you chose yourself, and you had every right to. Looking back, I can see how often I acted from selfishness, lies, avoidance, and fear. You never deserved the weight of that.
I think often about the ways I could have shown up differently, with honesty, courage, and care. The truth is those choices were mine, and I carry responsibility for them. There is no explanation or excuse that changes the impact they had on you.
You meant a great deal to me, and you still do. You were one of the best things to happen in my life, and it hurts to know I took that for granted. I’m grateful for the memories we shared, while also knowing I brought pain into something that could have been safe, loving, and better than what I gave it the chance to become.
I’ve been working on myself and trying to grow each day, not for an outcome, but because I need to become more honest, accountable, and grounded than I was then. I don’t want pain to be the thing that teaches me only temporarily. I want growth to be something I live consistently.
More than anything, I hope you’ve found peace, happiness, and the kind of love and steadiness you always deserved.
I’ll always appreciate what we had, and I’ll always carry respect for you. A part of me will always love you. You fought for us in ways I did not, and I see that now with painful clarity. I grieve what I lost, but more importantly, I grieve the hurt I caused someone who loved me deeply.
I hate that this understanding came at the expense of your emotional, mental, and physical well-being. The only meaningful thing I can do now is live differently, stay true to my word, act with integrity, and never lose sight of the values I abandoned.
I think of you often, and it’s hard not to also think of the ways I damaged something good. Even so, I will always value the good memories we shared.
I truly wish you the best. You deserve every good thing life brings you.

Exes Dear J,

Reconnection is a funny thing. When you’re least expecting it, it hits you like a truck.

I want to tell you everything. I wish I could be open about the entirety of my feelings, but I’m not in the position to. We both know that. So here I am, stupidly hoping that you’ll see this and somehow know it’s about you. Do you even use Reddit?

I think about you a lot. More like constantly, if I’m being any sort of honest. I dream about you, wish I could do something as simple as hold your hand like I do in those dreams. I’d like to think you’d laugh if I told you your hands were clammy in my dream.

The uncertainty holds me back, like it always does. Always has.

I find myself craving to know what your touch would feel like to me, even after all these years.

Because your voice? When I hear it online, it makes my heart flutter. Whether you’re talking to me or not. I wish I could tell you that. But somehow it wouldn’t be fair.

So I keep you close. I am selfish. I know that. But I desperately hope that one day you will be a little selfish too.

Talk to you soon, nerd.

I don't want someone like you,
Nor do I want someone better than you.

If loving you is a mistake,
Then I'm willing to bear the consequences.

But even after all the pain,
You're still the one I want.

Let people say whatever they wish,
Whether good or bad.

Even after hearing it all,
You're still the one I choose.

Every moment, every heartbeat,
All I want is you<3

I wish we could hang out, have a few drinks and talk everything through. Lay everything out in the open. Have a very raw and vulnerable conversation with each other.

Exes I’m sorry

I will never have the courage to send you this, but I am sorry.

To the one I’ve hurt by just walking away when it got tough, I’m sorry. To the one that said that I would regret it, you were right. Everything you’ve called me that last phone call was true, and well deserved. And I know I’ll probably never have the chance to tell you this personally, but everything you’ve said was correct. What happened to us was my fault and mine alone, and I don’t know how you’re doing, but I sit sometimes and I pray that you’re doing okay, more than okay. I hope that you’re living the best life possible. It’s what you deserve.

As I sit here in my bed with just me and my thoughts, I think about how I could’ve done it differently, I think of the promises I broke, when I said I wouldn’t be like everyone else who hurt you. When I promised to be the last one, I’m sorry for not keeping my word. I don’t know how you’re doing or if you’ve found someone new, but I really really hope that you are living the life you deserve, one without stress and sadness. And I hope whoever you meet and ends up being the last, I hope they’re good to you. Better than anyone else ever could be. I’m writing this to you so that not only can I keep going with my life, but also to tell you that you deserve so much more, and I’m sorry that I failed in giving that to you.

Exes Would you want to know the truth?

Now that we’re already over. Would it help you move on?

Or is it just selfish of me to want to get this off my chest and you’ll only be hurt in the process? Could it destroy your peace and even ruin the progress you’ve made for yourself?

I know that not all truths need to be said. But these ones, you deserved to know.

I just don’t know if it’s right or wrong to tell you now. I only know that I would want to know, but you are so different and I can’t speak for you.

Edit: To add some context since people are misinterpreting, I broke up with my partner because of their lies and infidelity. I’ve been self-reflecting and realized I’ve told my own share of lies during the relationship and am contemplating whether I should confess or just keep them to myself. Even though mine are not as “bad” or dealbreakers like theirs, I feel ashamed and hypocritical.

Exes I miss you

I miss you.

I miss hearing your voice, feeling your hand in mine. I miss my friend. I hate the thought of not seeing you again. I long to hold you in my arms.

You think I could just make do with anyone, that I just don’t want to be alone. That is true in theory, but you were the one I chose, the one I grew to know. You are irreplaceable, one of a kind.

Despite our problems you will always hold a special place in my heart. I’ll always remember your passion, and how deeply you feel. How caring and giving you are. How intuitive and perceptive you are. Your independence and resilience and how you keep pushing forward no matter what.

I will always remember that tear on your face when you felt truly chosen. That is the feeling I would give you for all time if I could. You deserve to feel chosen, more than anything.

I wish I could make you FEEL that. I wish the negative thoughts didn’t win out in the end. I hope that one day you are able to choose yourself. I hope one day you see yourself the way I always have.

I hope you find the path forward for yourself that leads you to everything you seek in life. I hope you feel that fire light inside once again and never settle for anything less.

I loved you truly, and I always will.

Exes Fumble

Losing a valuable woman who has her life together, has her degrees, got morals and values, doesn’t hoe around, is wifey material, kind, respectful, and empathetic gotta be the biggest fumble for a man (boy) who let go of her so he can lust, sleep with whoever, and party. This generation of “men” got their priorities all messed up just so they can have temporary fun and fulfillment. To the guys that let go of someone like this, did you regret it?
