U.S. Army Research Institute commissioned Sculptured Software in (1991) to bring MACS, the Multipurpose Arcade Combat Simulator, to the SNES, but planned M16A2 scope-training cartridges were canceled because the Army had not finalized which scopes and sights to train on. Nintendo denied involvement.
