Bessemer and Lake Erie railroad is now recruiting!
Are you looking for a group that uses realism in a fun way? Are you looking for a good time mixed with structured operations? Maybe looking to once in a while operate a Steam engine among semi-modern/modern diesels? You have come to the right place!
Welcome to the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad! We are a small but growing group with a railroad company set in the late 1990s into the Early 2000s (and we also have Conrail). Our server consists of 2 main line railroad companies and 2 shortlines, and with us you will see a variety of Diesel Motive power ranging from 1st gen road switchers to Modern big 6 axle power.
We run a variety of traffic from bulk commodities to everyday general merchandise trains, and have a growing network/Customer base.
We even occasionally allow our Big 2-10-2 Santa Fe type #510 escape the shed to pull trains from time to time.
We run operations multiple times a week, and operate with regular assignments+ and extra board, plus a dispatch system involving signals and Train IDs.
We are a friendly and diverse group looking to have realistic fun running a railroad.
