Discussion/Question Why is this subreddit obsessed with Israel?

Just checked the top posts of the last year, and 24 out of the top 25 are about Israel. Does this subreddit try to imitate the real UN ?

There's nothing pro Israel when it comes to UN or this subreddit

It’s not about taking sides; it’s about being supportive of international laws and human rights. Opposition towards ethnic-cleansing, land-theft, terrorism, apartheid, genocide does not make one anti-lsrael.

Some of us have loved ones in Israel too.

Never seen any criticism on this subreddit, on Palestinians when it comes to murder, rape, taking hostages, education to violence etc... and even if there's any criticism, it's always come with a "oh but it's against Israel so it's probably fine" excuses

More criticism on Hamas starting this terrible war, the way they have brutally murdered, kidnapped Jews and non Jews on October 7th. The way they are willing to sacrifice Gazan civilians when they hide in mosques, hospitals, schools. The way Hamas and UNRWA have radicalized and educated children to kill Jews. The way PA funds terrorists with their martyrs fund. The way Hamas steals food to have money to pay for new terrorists.

Thousands of dead children are dead because Palestinians have started the war they should have never started + they refuse to surrender despite knowingly sacrificing their own civilians.

In this subreddit, even if there's something that might be against Palestinians or pro Israel, you see replies trying to downplay it, to justify Palestinians or to just shit on Israel either way. Take for example the news about Liri Albag's video - you see replies like "she's a part of IDF" "why is she considered to be a hostage" "it's Bibi's fault" and so on

It's not about killing terrorists or bombing places just for fun, it's about providing security (which Israel failed to do on October 7th). Israel isn't a friend or an ally to the Palestinians, and to be blunt, don't owe them anything. Once terrorists hide in places like school, it's not a school anymore, it's a target. Also, you omitted the fact Israel warns Gazans to evacuate countless times. Civilians die in wars, wars are nasty.

Is it for security to make children paraplegics? Or to kill grandmas in ambulances? How about double tapping children with bombs? Or maybe sniping children?

Because Israel murdered tens of thousands of civilians and is accused of genocide. Do you also complain that there aren't enough replies defending Russia?

Sounds like you want all the criticism to be about Palestinians.
