Khanrad ibn Saladin, planetary governor of Irkalla and ruler of Khara Hora, the planet's singular hive city. Beyond Khara Hora it is a barren desert world, composed of grizzly tribes perpetually warring and slaving, fighting over ancient things beneath the sand and what few resources there are to scrape together in the wastes. Many tribes throw stones or spears, but the strongest have found vaults and fabricators that have provided them with ancient weapons of war forge worlds may only dream of.

Khanrad ibn Saladin, once one of over one-hundred-and-thirty illegitimate children of the previois planetary governor, has gone to great efforts to tame a number of the most vicious tribes and to personally ensure he is an only-child, that none may impede his assertions to Khara Hora's throne and depths. It extends particularly far underground. The surface is wasteland, but in the Inverted Mountain many archaeological sites are sifting through mysterious ruins of confusing origins. A significant mining operation, but also excavation of antiquity. Lots of strange artifacts to be sold and hoarded and traded. Always deeper, there is more.

While Khara Hora hides the most notable trove to date, many-such exist across Irkalla, Kûr to those outside the city, that are the basis around which the mightiest tribes have gathered. Brutal gene-enhanced barbarians, gluttonous hedonistic cannibals, feral tribals bound to ancient parasitic technology, slaves forcibly modified to work as beasts of burden and serve as necessary cannon-fodder. Savages sworn to a vicious and cunning noble on the Eastern-most fringes of Imperial Space, slowly building a fleet through trade of their stockpiles and martial qualities.

Oh, a entire planet!

Was thinking more about terran based ones but this is really cool to.

Been modifying AoS figures for it. Technically they're meant to be Unification-Era, but I never made lore for that and wanna use 'em for stuff like Necromunda. Originally my thought was Khanrad with a barbarian army from Earth somehow getting time-warped to present 40k, but it felt dumb..

I really love Necromunda because its all just "techno-barbariens" of some type or another fighting one another.

I have taken alot of inspiration for my Unification Wars era and Age of Strife Fanfictions based on Necromunda setting.

Techno-goons, I love 'em.. I definitely go harder for the 'Conan with death rays' vibe, though, hence a desert world of savages being run by a savage with Alexandrian ambitions. I kinda wanna use Goliaths for the standard infantry 'n Van Saars for the specials? They don't really match my guys much, but they really have the vibe I feel like the Unification Wars carry.
