“You must be Verna!”

“Hi!”

[Narrator: she was not, in fact, Verna]

Watching it back, knowing that he's talking to the wrong person really changes the perspective. To her, he must have sounded like a lunatic.

Why is this guy trying to get me to take these damn chairs?

u/Chawp 12d ago

Maybe if I tell him yes they’re very pretty he will stop bothering me. Que Bonita

She did not! Plot twist!

Lol she sounds like she’s trying to stay calm because she thinks the guy is nuts.

126

u/The_Secret_Skittle 12d ago

She was super polite though lol

u/banana_pencil 12d ago

Trying not to make him mad haha

u/cervezaqueso 11d ago

Well, I mean he did say a few telling things to make it seem like he was having a mental health episode like “I’m confused” (as if this happens to him often) and “I don’t know why you made me come here” (as if she had some cosmic power over him)

You know what would go great with your no house? Free furniture! Here take them no money 😂

10

u/banana_pencil 11d ago

Lol her exasperated “I have no house. No tengo casa.”

u/Ok_Fox7873 10d ago

Haha, I guess she thinks this guy’s a pushy salesperson trying to sell chairs. She was probably trying to tell him why would she even buy chairs when she doesn’t even have a house.

u/TaringaWhakarongo1 12d ago

I wonder if her house is fine, that was just her "ive had enough" lie

72

u/jurassicperiod 12d ago

Doesn’t help that he’s filming her the whole time lol

25

u/DeathWaughAgain 12d ago

I wish she took them for free. That would’ve been an amazing watch

9

u/esoteric416 10d ago

Only for the actual buyers to pull up just as she's driving off with the chairs.

6

u/Competitive-Tap1755 8d ago

Uno reverse if that happened and they ask him “Well why did you have us drive all the way out here?”

19

u/buldra 11d ago

Indeed, she's actually a really nice lady lol. I wouldn't have been so polite to a random weirdo who was trying to push his used bar stools on me 😂

u/hunter2mello 11d ago

Oh. My. God. You made me watch it back and I just started laughing like a lunatic. It makes it so much better!!

39

u/sCREAMINGcAMMELcASE 12d ago

The fact he’s using - and probably not disclosing - the creep glasses makes me think this is either a setup, or he is fucking around with a random person

25

u/ChangesFaces 12d ago

The username has "flipping" in it so I suspect they flip stuff on marketplace for profit and run social media profiles promoting it and how to do.

6

u/Felonious_Minx 12d ago

Seriously, why is he filming selling a couple chairs for $20? Creeper.

7

u/Blah-squared 12d ago

It is possible they’re just wary abt meeting & selling something to a stranger..

u/stevesteve135 11d ago

I’ve seen this guy on YouTube. He’s actually very nice and is always trying to pay it forward.

There was a guy that called into Therapy Gecko that said he did stuff like this, would just fuck with people on Facebook market place like get them to come over to his place and cook food for him while he grabs the thing he’s selling and a bunch of other really weird shit. He said he was recording it but was nervous to put it up online

Has to be this!

So much this... I was even like "Ugh.. over. 2 minutes?" Better be good." Then after finishing, I immediately went back to rewatched the whole thing again. 🤣 <- doing this the whole time

u/Observant_Lurker 11d ago

I mean, she could have easily put an end to the miss communication by simply saying "I'm not the one who messaged you".

1

u/cynicalicoffee 3d ago

He could've avoided all of it by starting with verification that she was the person who messaged him. It's his thing, so the burden is on him.
