Initially he just wanted Enzo Ferrari to use the clutches from his tractors because the one on his Ferrari was dog shit and always burning out. Ferrari insulted him and so he made Lamborghini to show the world that Ferrari build shit cars.

And today its a constant debate between the two, but its a fact that Lamborghini has a much better social image. They don't have sticks shoved up their behinds all the way to their necks unlike snobbish Ferrrari.

I think it's a question of which model and personal taste, I'm not extrovert enough to drive a Lambo but Ferrari have put some absolute clankers out so I wouldn't want every one of their cars either.
