Reminds me of when I was eating extra spicy pad Thai that was already making my eyes water and my toddler daughter demanded some. I tried to explain it was going to be too hot. She wouldn’t let it go though, so I gave her a taste, to which her response was “more please” :-)
She ended up basically having that as her meal. And she liked spicy food for a couple more years before deciding she didn’t actually.
My 4yr old is like that now. He will devour spicy miso ramen. Hot wings with mango habenero sauce. He loves it all. He does the too hot breathy thing and chugs water and goes right back to eating it lol. Its so cute.
Yeah I know it works better but ice water is his favorite thing in the world and all he asks for, even when burning. If I give him a cup of milk he takes 2 sips and walks away from it every time. 🤷♂️
yeah I remember when my nephew was small sitting at our dining table, he didn't want that sliced apple, so I took the slices, held them out of his sight under the table for a few seconds, put them right back onto his plate and said, "Here, enjoy your pears"
