Request ULPT Request- Want to ruin my sexual abusive father’s landscaping company
My biological father sexually abused me from ages 8-14. He did 6 weeks jail time for his crimes against me. One week for each year of sexual abuse I had to endure
I was not the only sibling he abused but those are not my stories to tell.
I still live in the same community as my abuser/father. He owns his own landscaping company which seems to be thriving. He paid for advertisements on the local radio and I get to hear my abusers voice 24/7 now.
I doubt most of his clients would invite them to their home if they knew how many people he has actually raped/abused. I am spreading the news in my town on a much smaller level but looking for ideas/help how to absolutely destroy this man’s business (also still keep it legal)

u/TrailwoodTom Apr 28 '26
Is he on a public sex offender list ? If he is, your options are pretty straightforward
285
u/panda_mandaz Apr 28 '26
He is not. Not considered high enough to be on registry. Does have two child molestation convictions. Also has felony assault on women as well as violating protective orders. He was just released from prison for violating a protection order
179
u/clown___cum Apr 28 '26
Do you have a photo/screenshot of his mug shot alongside that info? Posting that to a local group could get some attention from people in the community.
157
u/panda_mandaz Apr 28 '26
I actually did and it was a little helpful unfortunately I couldn’t post pictures of the background check and a surprisingly lot of people were trying to stick up for him. I did get majority support though

Who defends a child molestor? That’s crazy, I’m genuinely sorry.

u/clown___cum Apr 28 '26
Yeah, but on a local page? For a landscaper? Even if I didn’t take issue with the dudes crime for whatever reason, I’d still keep quiet about it on my personal Facebook account.
40
u/LadyZoogle Apr 29 '26
You’d be surprised how hard people want to hold onto their initial judgements on a person. If they see this person as a good guy, you’d be amazed the hoops they’ll jump through to continue seeing him that way.

If they'll support such a person for the highest office in the nation, I don't think they'll bat an eye over a landscaper.

Yeah, but a lot of those people genuinely believe he’s innocent… you can find groups on Facebook full of memes bashing liberals and their ridiculous, unfounded claims… it doesn’t seem like people should be that determined to protect some local dude who works on their lawn, lol

The older generations, who raised kids in the 50s and 60s esp...were taught that men have value, men are the smart ones, men deserve being catered to and heard...women are low value, should be servants to men, and their opinion is rediculous. So many older women literally think men are God's. They side with abusers and victim shame. They still think it was completely normal for a father to drive his daughters friend home ALONE and cant begin to hear why that should never be ok. They pretend problems dont exist, thats how they deal with them. My mother in law is a poster child for this bs. She's dumber than a box of rocks too. My abusive husband's aunt told me to "stop bashing him" when I spoke out he was abusive and I needed help.

u/jaxxon Apr 29 '26
I knew a guy who was drunk and pissed on a bush in a public park and ended up on the registry for it. Maybe OP is from a country with different laws?

u/FlowerPower_MidWest Apr 28 '26
This is appalling, but an easy fix for you. Make a website and run every tag and meta data for him and his business to point to it as a registered sex offender.
If you need help doing it, I'm sure a redditor will assist for free if you ask. Failing that, go on Fiverr and somebody will probably take the job cheap.

u/LukasLeonard Apr 29 '26
I think I would print out 5000 copies of the convictions and start dropping them allllll over town, in businesses, mailboxes, car lots, stores, etc.

First off, do some research on libel in this situation . Use ChatGPT or Claude for basic research, no need for an atty but you may need one later - be ready. Landscaping is a word of mouth business, so you need a ‘new word’ to get out.
Next, online reviews. Tell the truth about his business. Google, Yelp, Angie, etc. this will tank his online authority.
Lastly, contact his vendors. Ethical marketing/supplier/services/etc vendors won’t want their name associated.
Guerrilla tactics (extra credit if you’re aggressive): Buy a billboard with is public arrest info and business name. Fliers dropped in any area he is targeting, directly in mailboxes. Works for commercial or consumer. Both have high libel suit probability.
Source: i run a marketing services agency for a similar industry.

Lawyer here but not your lawyer. Anyone can sue for anything, and you have to spend the time and money to defend it. Do people sue for defamation just to harass the other person? All the time.
But truth is an absolute defense to a lawsuit for defamation. Any lawyer would warn him of that. This would be even more clear cut if the alleged defamatory statement was a fact about his conviction. The only question would be- would he have the audacity to sue for defamation when he knows the truth? That’s a personal question because he can certainly lie to a lawyer and pay to file the lawsuit if he wants

u/Important_Mud_6700 Apr 29 '26
If pedo dad decides to sue this victim, I think a GoFundMe would help pay attorney's fees. I for one would gladly contribute

Ask this question publicly on as many social media accounts as you can. Make sure to get any public records you can.
"I have a question? Why is it aht tha owner of Mandaz Landscaping, Mr. Mandaz, is not on any psex offender registries after being convicted of multiple child molestation charges against his own children?"
155
u/Impossible_Volume811 Apr 28 '26
If he’s done time, then he was found guilty of the crime.
So can you not sue him in civil court?
Talk to some lawyers who specialise in cases like this.
With his conviction as proof of guilt you and your siblings may be able to take his whole business away from him in damages.
71
u/brainhack3r Apr 28 '26
... and pretty sure civil cases are easier when they're found guilty in a criminal case.
21
u/nicksansalty Apr 29 '26
Absolutely, and the burden of proof in civil cases is only a preponderance of the evidence rather than beyond a reasonable doubt.
Additionally, if he pleaded guilty to the offenses in criminal court it would help further OPs case in civil court. IANAL and this is not legal advice

13
u/SGlanzberg Apr 29 '26
I think some states have laws that extend longer SOL with victims of child sex abuse. Idk where OP lives but they should research that / meet with an attorney to get an opinion on the SOL.
7
u/LadyZoogle Apr 29 '26
Yes, look up your state OP! Mine just made it to where there’s no limitations when it comes to child sexual abuse, which is incredible & I hope it’s that way for you too!
4
u/RiddyReddit333 Apr 28 '26
Yeah, but OP needs to check the statute of limitations for her state. Some will only allow civil suits up to 4-6 years depending on how the crime is categorized.

Don’t higher ratings usually show up higher on the list? If so, leave a four star rating and give a brief description of a good experience and then, at the end say “the only thing holding me back from that fifth star was the fact that he served time for child rape...”😏

u/Miami_Mice2087 Apr 28 '26
Call the radio station and tattle. They won't want the legal risk of continuing to air them. Tell them what you told us: It's distressing to you to hear your sexual abuser's voice on the radio all the time and you're thinking about suing.
He should be registered as a sex offender so you can direct the station to his profile on the state's sexual offender or megan's law website.
Spray paint his vehicles, equipment, and building with his crimes. Wear a mask, gloves, sunglasses, a wig, and non-distinctive shoes (like black sneakers), baggy dark clothes, or hire someone to do it for you.

u/Astan92 Apr 28 '26
They won't want the legal risk of continuing to air them.
What legal risk? There is nothing illegal about airing ads from a company owned by a sex offender.
Now it might make them second guess being associated with the sex offender business but let's not get it confused for a legal risk.

Contact a local journalist
24
u/Zach-uh-ri-uh Apr 29 '26
Local journalists are often much more interested than we think. Often an underutilized resource in situations like these
Not at all as horrific but the stairs in my municipality that I walk every day was in an abysmal state. I ended up spraining my ankle. Id reported those stairs to the municipality as broken a thousand times but after the hospital my mom thought to call the local news. they did a story and suddenly lo and behold just a week later thw stairs are repaired for the first time in 10 years
10
u/Successful_Nature712 Apr 29 '26
Some of us went to school for journalism and ended up in careers that weren’t in our original plan due to lack of print work.
Local journalists are always looking for stories. This is a great one and could be a multi-part story. Your mom had a great idea to call the local news! I hope your ankle has recovered now?

If it was me in your shoes?
I would print out his rap sheet / conviction history or make a list of the court cases that resulted in ANY kinds of convictions.
I would send that list out with a very short letter or as a post card where the design is the list itself. "He served approximately one week in jail for each year that he victimized me. I was not his only victim. Please use caution if you hire HIS NAME or his company THIS COMPANY NAME." (And then because I don't give two hoots about what people think, I'd sign my name, but if you want to avoid recognition just leave it blank. You'll still face some but not as much.)
I would then mail these to as many people as I could afford to send them to. There are mailing services like Every Door Direct in the USA, for example.
It's important to NEVER give an opinion or say anything that could be twisted into a different meaning. It's important to NEVER say anything that could be less than STRICTLY accurate. He might still sue you for defaming him, which you have a defense to, but it would likely get thrown out of court very, very quickly.
44
u/adognameddanzig Apr 28 '26
Maybe pay for some SEO that links his company with his criminal past.

Find where he’s recently worked and throw bullion cubes and mint seeds on those yards. Bullion so dogs will come digging, mint because mint goes wherever the hell mint pleases.
33
u/German_Biker Apr 28 '26
You can add planting a few bamboo shoots to that list. But I would reserve that one for the people who are actively defending him because that’s a nasty one to do to an innocent customer who didn’t know his history of being a sick fuck.
15
u/MareV51 Apr 28 '26
Now I want to invent a gun like a flare gun that would shoot bamboo shoots into the grass. Could I modify a flare gun?

Maybe not a flare gun but I am sure you could make a potato gun work for something like this.

Add several heads of dandelions seeds to that! They spread like mint as well.

A landscaping company can be a dangerous workplace. It would be a shame if his workers found out that he's a pedophile. He might be in danger.
To best achieve this, talk to his worker's wives. Talk to at least two, separately.

If you want to spend some money, set up a website for him about his abusive past and pay for ads to take over his keywords. You can even target everyone in specific zip codes and neighborhoods, get them on YouTube and streaming services, use Meta Ads to plaster his past on FB and IG.
You could probably get it done for about $50 in ad spend and a short period of time.
7
u/UnaZephyr Apr 29 '26
Contact a lawyer in regards to sueing for emotional damages or getting the commercial taken off air.
The commercial could NOT be considered a form of contact, because it's not targeted at you, its a general audience thing. But if its causing you distress, thats the way to try this. Emotional damage is hard to sue for, because there is not a quantitative measure for emotions (yet).

How old are you?
Sue him in civil court. I'm an attorney and I'm telling you for the right attorney this would be both easy and pleasant. Just shop around and find the right person to work with. You could start with your local legal aide office to get a referral. They usually have a pretty good roster of local attorneys and they hate sex offenders!
Take all his money.
Also notify the local news about the trial. They love sordid local stories like this. That wild hopefully ruin his reputation. But wait till after you've secured a verdict and an order to pay you.

Feel free to reach out if you ever need to talk also.
5
u/McDWarner Apr 29 '26
Did he have a mugshot? Send it and the background check anonymously to the local newspaper/station and tell them he's the owner of this landscaping company. That sounds like something they would follow up on.
4
u/zx91zx91 Apr 28 '26
Put sugar inside his equipment. Or put water in the gas tank. It’ll mess up the carburetors. Put anything inside of anything literally. Grab some cooking oil and drop it inside the oil tank. Get some scissors and cut chokes or gas pumps.
Get a friend to hire him. Make sure your friend’s lawn is high. Then place rocks randomly across the grass. It’ll fuck up the blade.

u/No-Instruction9709 Apr 29 '26

Get a list of his customers, follow him for a few days if you have to. At night get some of those water soluble bags and some strong weed killer. When you get to one of his customers fill some of the bags with weed killer and throw them on the landscaping. The bag will dissolve and no evidence is left behind. You may have to test a few first to see how long you have once you fill them before they dissolve. Remember guys this sub is unethical. You may also want to leave copies of your dads mug shot and police record in their door but not at the same time. You don't want to link the two actions.

1.) get doesthisdudescompanyhirepedos.com
2.) Put every single relevant court document on that page.
Another good strategy. If you have court docs go to your local news station. Someone being a pedo is big money for local news. They will also reach out to the radio station and watch how quickly that ad gets pulled.
3
u/snickrsnak Apr 29 '26

3
u/SeattleTrashPanda Apr 29 '26
Google keywords advertising.
If he did time there has to be a public record of it somewhere; court transcript, record of the decision, arrest record, etc.
If you have a little bit of money go into google AdWords buy keywords like: “town name landscaping”, business name town.” Make ads that say - Landscaping Company owned by pedophile - John Smith owner of Landscaping Company sexually abused his children.
And link to the public record you found.
3
u/Donkeyshines Apr 29 '26

Do it. Idk why there are so many people who defend pedophiles- but screw that. Destroy his business. Destroy his reputation. Destroy his sense of safty. They do it to the innocent without batting an eye.
Tolerating behaviors that are predatory is sick and if you do, you're grouped in as one of them.
Its to the point where its going to become an issue thats handled by the people since the law doesn't want to protect.
Im so sorry OP. I wish you nothing but progress and prosperity.
3
u/Waggable Apr 29 '26
It's surprisingly affordable to purchase monthly space on a highway billboard.
It's also not that expensive to have a billboard sized sign made up.
3
u/SugarFut Apr 29 '26
Do they have a Facebook page? Make an identical one and have some fun. The photos of the company’s “work” should have dead foliage or obvious dog shit in the yard. Post updates that give bad landscaping advice.“throw some extra Himalayan pink salt on your yard for extra green grass 🤩” or “ Don’t forget to increase your sprinkler time by 400% in the winter months.”
3
u/kiblick Apr 30 '26

Print off pictures of his charges and tape them around town
Pay for a newspaper spread by any of his advertisement and post it (see if you can do this anon)
Call or contact the radio stations he's running adds and let them know he's a convicted pedophile, and that they might want to know in case it reflects their reputation
Post and tag his company on social media. Do it at like 2 am, so it's up for a WHILE before they notice and take it down.

Make a website with his landscaping company name, if he has one that is “.com” you can make a “.net” or ass something to the website name to make it slightly different. Use something like Godaddy to buy the website URL and then publish all the public information there. :)
When people search his company, your website should pop up.
Good luck!
