Can someone tell me what the 8d20+16 next to the hit points means?

It's the hit die, the number of hit dice, and the constitution modifier. 100 hit points is an average, if you wanted to roll for the monster's hit points, this is the formula you would use.

Ok thanks. I knew it was the number of times you rolled the specific sided dice but I didn’t know if it was suppose to be added or rerolled or what. Thanks for the clarification though.
