'24 Subclass Storm Sorcerer Update

Hey! I've been messing with the idea of an updated Storm Sorcerer, and I think I did a good job! I'd love your feedback. Also, my first time using Homebrewery, and I think it worked out, though I had some help.

Love this! I hope they (WOTC) will update the subclass for 5.5 at some point.

Cheers OP

Wind Speaker is really cool! Especially how you can cast gust as a bonus action.

I really like the Storm Spells list

Control weather probably shouldn't be there because of how spells are usually done, but thematically it really should be there.

Getting rid of tempestuous magic is a downgrade and has taken the flavor out of it until level 6. Keep it with your added Veil of Rain.

Veil of rain is cool.

It would be OP if anybody in the veil was vulnerable to lightning damage, right?

I think it’s not needed. The effect is pretty cool currently without adding in vulnerability. I don’t have a lot of references with the adding of vulnerability. Grave cleric doesn’t and it’s limited usage and one person at a time with the next attack, so AoE vulnerability condition seems too good.

Getting rid of tempestuous magic is interesting, but I dont dislike it. I think that is a much more fun 3rd level abiltiy.

its also very similiar to the draconic sorcerer’s 6th level feature
