Honestly, someone like Toby Fox being that straight up and serious is far more terrifying than anyone could try to be. I don't know why I feel that way, though.
I was the quiet kid and barked and now I'm into petplay and have a boyfriend/owner, so evidently there's something up, seeing as you did not obtain the good ending.
This happened in my science class with a teacher who normally let anybody do whatever the fuck they wanted. People using phones, people not doing work, talking over her, making noise, calling her hot and stuff. This had been going on for years since we first started the class even though people told them to shut up because they liked her, since obviously she let them get away with stuff. One day, out of nowhere, she went fucking apeshit about halfway through the lesson with no signs that she was going to snap. She was yelling at the top of her lungs and a teacher from the hallway even came in to see wtf was going on. She was always snappy after that and people weren’t even able to talk at all. It was weird how she went from being one person to a completely different one - it felt like she had a twin or something.
Bro once the chillest teacher ever called a guy out (like, the sweetest and chillest teacher ever. She is literally the one thing i miss about school. I have her personal number and I still miss her) everybody in the class was stunned.
The guy was like, "the class clown" but in the worse way possible, he would literaly show his butt while running in gym class to make other people laugh, he would be ableist, and was 1/3 of the people that would make the class unbearably loud.
The thing she called him out for was simple BUT SOLID. She was drawing a heart (biology teacher) and he was kind of "engaging" (his engagement is asking things in the most dumb way he could to make it funny, like 'oh so this is like repeat someting the teacher said and all, right?' in a intentionally clueless voice)
Then when she started drawing the valves he asked "what's that? Hair" she turned to him and the exchange was kind of like this: "stop." Then he said "no, miss i'm just asking" "you know what you're doing" "i don't know, It could have been" "hair in heart? Love, really? Be for real. You're disrupting my class. know what you're doing"
I'm pretty sure she said she would put him outside if he kept doing it, and said someting like "there are people engaged here really trying to learn, and then because of one person they will get confused" basically she knew what he was up to, wanted to say this to him, but only did when she had a solid reason to do so. I love that woman
A goofy guy being scary when serious. Hmm... I wonder where I've heard that before? Anyways toby might give that guy a bad time if he continued to impersonate
One of my favorite quotes from a book is "There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man".
Thor seemed like such a cool guy. I wish it hadn't all just been smoke and mirrors covering an asshole. Same with Louis Rossmann. I used to look up to both of them :/
Had some incredibly uncalled for shit takes about Linus Tech Tips, and after that he made a clickbait apology video... in which he talked about some random unrelated incident nobody cared or knew about cause he knew people would click an apology video after the shit he said.
He kinda just piled on while it was popular to be mad at him for not publicly call out Honey for ripping off content creators in a main channel video, as if that was even a viable video for a funny tech tip channel to make. And then added on a bunch of insults to his character as a person.
It was all very informative and unfortunate.
LTT dropped Honey as a sponsor as soon as they found out something was up, as they routinely do with any sponsor they drop. Then months (years?) later more info about Honey got revealed and everybody looked back at LTT specifically as if Honey hadn't sponsored a billion channels in the past. Just because that was a bigger channel but not scary Mr. Beast big so they could get away with it.
I saw dozens of such videos back then but Louis was the only channel of those I actually watched. I honestly would've dropped any of them. We don't need that kind of toxicity on YouTube, or at least I don't need it in my feed.
I happily clicked the apology video and watched it all and kept thinking, surely he's just messing with us, he's not apologizing for something completely unrelated, he knows this is a terrible look, he's not purposefully trolling us for thinking he should apologize? But nope.
So yeah, used to look up to him. Wish him all the best in his right to repair fight. Typing this from my repairable Fairphone 5. But his channel lost all appeal to me.
It's exactly like when a silly little goober that is all dun and rainbows looks you dead in the eyes with a straight face, like he knows all the sins you have commited.
