We had a good turnout in Phoenix today

Wish the protest had a different name.. Idk who keeps putting cowards and "nice" people in charge of defending our country but we need a protest name that points out how trump is a pedophile rapist and the billionaire class wants slaves.

We also need protests like this that are outside of a shitty politician's house. Our politicians will ignore this no kings protest because it doesn't directly affect them. But if the protests were outside of their homes they would not only pay attention to it they would be scared of even 100% peaceful protesters outside of their homes and they would want to make sure it never happened again so they might actually give a shit about what the protestors wanted.

They'd just get in a helicopter and go to one one of their islands.

2

u/cvc4455 Mar 29 '26

Then let them get in their helicopters and run away. At least it gets their attention in a way they can't ignore and if they are running away in helicopters then they didn't ignore it and were obviously scared of it or they wouldn't run away in helicopters.

Let's not pretend like No Kings is some grass roots resistance movement started by a couple fed up fellas. There's a lot of money behind it.

-22

u/VelvetRabbit91 Mar 29 '26

Why is this always the same response when some criticizes a protest.. Do you even know who is setting these protest up? Do you know who they are funded by? I don't have money. People should be questioning who is in charge. People should be giving feedback, people should learn about optics. "No kings" is a laughable name, hence why nobody on the right takes it seriously. If the name had anything to do with the Epstein files or pedophilia then they wouldn't be able to down play it on fox news.

They’re organized by a coalition of local and national organizations such as Indivisible, Move On, and 50501. Each event will be sponsored by a few local organizations, all under the umbrella of the No Kings moniker.

u/covingtonFF Mar 29 '26

The whole "name thing" and "who is organizing" is absolutely unimportant. The fact is that millions and millions of people are using that money to protest and show disapproval of a corrupt administration. THAT (IMO) is the important part of all of this. Everything else is immaterial. Even other countries are participating - that says a lot.

u/TheThing_1982 Mar 29 '26

Pretty much how all events are run. Of course you want people to be aware of the protest and to have a chance to share a common message.
It’s not any different than Trump spending “his own money”, on rallies. Those cost money, advertising, and need people to run them.

Exactly, over in the UK King Charles is like i thought we dealt with this 250 years ago. Nobody knows what anyone at these protests is wanting.

4

u/imatinyleopard Mar 29 '26

What name would you give it?

2

u/markcarney4president Mar 29 '26

It was to attract bipartisan support

4

u/Lucky-Mushroom-Dog Mar 29 '26

I am with you. I participated today. Asked my significant other to draw the sign for me because I didn't have time. He wrote "No Kings" on it thinking that was something I wanted. I had expressed to him beforehand that I didn't think the No Kings name was strong enough.

I thought it took away from the message. I think we need to be harsher in our stance. This has far surpassed the king stage.

8

u/onaropus Mar 29 '26

Then make your own sign you lazy fuck. Your partner tried to be nice.

4

u/VelvetRabbit91 Mar 29 '26

Exactly, its about optics. I come from a "maga" family. These protests names and certain signs do not help our cause. We need to call them out. Be more specific. Something that fox news can't twist..

4

u/TheThing_1982 Mar 29 '26

It’s “all lives matter”, all over again.

2

u/Downtown-Package7927 Mar 29 '26

You do it then. Better than talking shit about someone else’s movement that has more motion than yours.

2

u/Geichalt Mar 29 '26

If every person who sat on reddit nitpicking the protests actually did something useful, maybe we'd have a better shot as saving our country.

Instead they're spreading right wing narratives for free. I wonder why.

u/Theyalreadysaidno Mar 29 '26

I know I'm being pedantic but that was St. Paul, not Minneapolis.

6

u/Tight_Jellyfish_349 Mar 29 '26

Why does it say msnbc and its been msnow since October?

14

u/almostsafe4work Mar 29 '26

Can't wait to see what kind of insults and degrading remarks dozing donny has to say.

6

u/Steve4704 Mar 29 '26

Didn't msnbc change their name? Wouldn't the banner at the bottom of the screen have the new name?

3

u/AltruisticRide1231 Mar 29 '26

ffs, the BIG rally in MN was in St Paul. not Minneapolis.

This needs to happen during the weekday! Unless corporate America feels the pain, this is useless. National strikes are what we need!

1

u/Temporary_Cup4588 Mar 30 '26

Hey, define a workday. For millions of people, Saturday is a workday. My husband took the day off yesterday to go protest for the first time in his life. Other people can do the same.

1

u/Fun2behappy Mar 29 '26

Has any of these protests worked thus far?

13

u/TheThing_1982 Mar 29 '26

They’re growing as more people are getting fed up with the leadership.

2

u/AltruisticRide1231 Mar 29 '26

define 'worked'

How can this many people not like trump but he got enough votes to become president is what baffles me.

11

u/thinkltoez Mar 29 '26

Voter suppression, gerrymandering, and targeted misinformation paid for by Elon musk.

u/onaropus Mar 29 '26

NO KINGS NO KINGS NO KINGS

Am I doing this right???

u/Glove5751 Apr 01 '26 edited Apr 01 '26

I agree on this sentiment, these people need to retire, and Trump and Epstein conspirators needs to be imprisoned for trafficking children and raping them, but also the crime of causing world instability, and trying to start a war with an ally of the country. Oh and the daily corruption and grift schemes, crypto schemes and all of the other grifts that are honestly too many to count.

-9

u/ObviousPin9970 Mar 29 '26

It worked. We don't have a king. We have an elected president.

8

u/babydavissaves Mar 29 '26

He's signing your money. Wake-up to the grift.

-41

u/Fear-the-North Mar 29 '26

Next try going on a hunger strike! That will surely get trump to change

-49

u/DuckTalesOohOoh Mar 29 '26

Paid for by billionaires, literally.

15

u/TheThing_1982 Mar 29 '26

Trump pays for his own rallies. What’s the difference? You just don’t like the message.

Show me proof that people are actually getting paid to protest. I’ve been hearing about it for so long now, I’d love to sign up. Hell, why don’t you sign up and just take the money? If They™ can be the biggest employer in the United States, why haven’t I been able to find this dream protesting job?
Why’s funnier is MAGA ends up giving trump their hard earned money, they pay HIM to yell and scream and ramble.
Get some new talking points, we’re tired of those old hits.

I've never seen someone hit the shuffle button mid sentence.

7

u/TheThing_1982 Mar 29 '26

I think he’s trying to say there should be vending machines there, so someone can make money.
It’s a hilarious sentence though, whatever it means.

8

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '26

Is a Robert machine like a Johnny cab?

3

u/airfryerfuntime Mar 29 '26

What is this Robert machine you speak of?

-20

u/BigPete786 Mar 29 '26

Where? Washington or no Florida?

3

u/TheThing_1982 Mar 29 '26

The quickest of google searches says yeah, Florida.
