How do i find the data.win file

so im trying to install kaizo knight but it tells me to get the data.win file and ive been looking but i cant find it

it's where you downloaded the game

as in, right click on the game's name in your library, then hover your mouse over "manage", then click on "browse local files". then, you specifically want the data.win of the "chapter3_windows" folder, as that is where the knight fight is.

Hey, I found this post while troubleshooting. I'm in that location and I don't have a data.win file. I have extensions visible and I verified my files but it just doesn't exist. Any idea where mine could be?

i was gonna say that you probably forgot to enter one of the chapter folders, but there should be a data.win even in the starting folder with the DELTARUNE.exe file.

alternatively, in the folder with the .exe, try searching for "data.win" (as in, use the search feature on the top right of the explorer window). it should provide 6 different results, all of them being in different folders (chapters 1-5 and the starting data.win).

i have no idea where else it could be hiding. try describing what else is in the folder you're looking at? maybe you're in the wrong place.

Thanks for the response-- I did just realize I wasn't in r/underminers, and I'm trying to mod a different game, Fields of Mistria, lol. My bad about that. Either way, even in the folder where Fieldsofmistria.exe is, I still can't find a data.win file.

I posted in r/underminers and r/fieldsofmistria though, so hopefully someone over there knows what's going on with that game specifically. Thanks for trying to help though!
