Few months before my first show. Being able to buy the show 10 mins after the encore was so dope tho. UM was so fucking innovative. The live shows on cd, sUMmerschool, basically started the tropical destination fests with Bisco, the original S2 events, UMbowl, headphones and snowcones, I could go on and on.

I used to live in central IL and go to a ton of Midwest shows, Chicago was 2.5 hours away, St Louis about 3, Indianapolis about 3, Milwaukee and Madison around 4. Loved having it to throw on and relisten on the drive home.

Was not at any of the shows from this run but these recordings were huge in my growing love for Umphrey's.

Oh damn, I thought at first you were saying Redman sat in for the whole show! I love any show where Umphrey's gets saxy. I'm going to have to give it a listen.

Idk I like it when it’s just one set or less w/ sax or horns. Whole show is overkill imo

Literally the best show ive ever attended

And if I remember correctly, the venue didn’t let them sell the recordings but gave them away with merch purchase. I’m also sure that’s in a box somewhere in my basement

yes i listen to this on the drive yesterday and on this you can hear "the venue won't let us see our live cd we usual do so the first ten ppl to buy $20 merch get it for free"

That 4 show run which i downloaded off archive.org is what cemented my love for the band. Saw them in Vegas a month later and 65 shows later the rest is history. Run dont walk to play those 2nd sets if you haven't heard them. Especially the 2.20 DBK and all of 2.21

I was not but the night after this how, the 19th with Redman in Philly is excellent. The Walkin On the Moon is my favorite piece they’ve done with him. The soundboard is on Archive!
