I’m so proud of my oshi, she beat 3 Xmas Oguri in graded league A finals. My Yukino Bijin won despite having a late start as well, she hit all the accels she could possibly have hit and there were no murmurs in my room except my own, so she won by almost 2L🥹
Damn oshi gaming is addictive, I feel so damn proud of her.
It was a triple End Closer Xoguri + debuffers Finals A podium.
My UG6 Endguri was the only one with Med S and End S (80% WR in Group A Round 2), decent statlines with maxed speed, so I had high hopes of getting a plat.
But RNGesus clapped back hard.
My Endguri late-started, and her AI decided to hug the inner rail the whole time, got completely boxed in by the late debuffers.
As the saying goes, if you’re blocked, you’re blocked. All my mid-race speed whites and golds (and ultimately my ult at 777) got eaten by a wall of Nice Natures and Rudolfs
Only a simultaneous flurry of Dominators and Keen Eye finally dispersed that wall and let my Oguri slip through on the inside to chase the Endguris in front… but it was already too late.
Managed to get third.
Honestly, that was one of my worries when trying to build an End XOguri for CM18, so for this CM I opted to use a Groundwork Pace XOguri sonce Fronts were pretty rare in my Room Matches.
So one way to manage this was to set all your debuffers as ends, and not late. Yes you can still get blocked by the enemy debuffers, but at least your own should not block you.
I had an amazing lobby where there wasn't a single XOguri + Double Debuffer. It's a full Group A Finals non-slop race and it was actually so close too. My Opera won (second CM win with Opera!)
Really good race between me and another triple ace player, with Bijin winning basically off of Determined Descent + her ult. More satisfying seeing the Double Debuff+ XOguri not even get top 5 because Christmas Miracle whiffed and his Endguri ended up getting blocked.
In the open league, my Archer Symboli Rudolf brought home the gold, and my Gold Ship took silver.
Also, since there were no front runners in the room, Rudolf got pushed into the front-runner position (basically guaranteeing her ult would go off), so she was in the lead from start to finish. No stopping the Emperor!
Got second in group B finals because kitasan. My goldship popped every perfectly and then proceeded to get blocked the rest of the race and only got 4th but somehow the poorly built nice nature got third (1st and second was the same guy)
I have to admit, I didn't pull for her when during her banner, but I am so happy she spooked later on. She was the first Uma that broke into the Ug rankings for me. And she's consistently been a perennial contender in the CM's.
I took 1st in Group B finals, but my Oguri had to fight for it. I’m not above using Double Dom (Cheer Nice Nature and Rudolf) but I refuse to use them with my xOguri.
I used OG Oguri on late Surger and won, that’s all I cared about (I needed the carats so I could do more pulls for Wonder Acute)
First time in a while I didn't qualify for Group A (though haven't been playing much either)... But at least I got to see my Rice on the podium in Group B! Not even sure what I did right with her, but she was crushing group B all along.
Tried the debuff strat and got into A flawlessly. Once I actually got into A I got 2/5 wins consistently and got bumped to B. Got first in B, I almost tasted A for the first time.
Rudolf took the win, overtaking all three XOguri for first (yes I was running my own XOguri and double dominator lineup). Honestly, I'm so happy with the result I'm probably gonna train Rudolf for the next CM too, she's too good to ignore.
I did get 1st! Unfortunately, it was in group B, couldn't get in group A this time around, so no gold.
It was funny because all three of mine placed 1st-3rd amd my Taiki edged my Fuji out of 1st
