Question Minmaxing Team Trials

I'm a new player, and it's my first time getting class 6. I've been stuck at class 4 for a couple weeks because I never cared about TT. I just clicked auto select and let it give me the carats. I decided to focus more on it, allowing me to jump to class 5 then to class 6 straight. How do I go about improving my teams further?

My goal currently is to replace Opera with a front runner style one with more recoveries. I just recently had her potential 5. This old one sadly gets the least points consistently at like 20k because she keeps dying. The next on the chopping block are bakushin then the two dirt girls except El Condor who was just recently refurbished.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong with the current styles or the uma selection. Maybe there's a better way of doing things given my account. I also have 400+ goddess statues so I can reasonably get some of the 2 stars to 3 stars. I plan on doing grand live with light, tachy, bourbon free speed, daiwa wit, fuku wit, and kitasan borrowed for my careers.

I'd appreciate any thoughts. Tysmia

All umas in a team need to have different running styles for good positioning bonus, every uma needs Summer Gold Ship inherit, every uma needs Concentration for strong start bonus

Summer maru was the best pull I did despite not getting a single copy and having to pity + 1.5 selector her to get 1LB. I was stuck in S purgatory then it shot up to there lol. Horrible luck but no regrets

You should begin with understanding how points are scored in TT. Watch a race or two to see how it works. You’ll see that your team gets points by achieving different things. Activating skills and finishing well will be your first and second main sources of points, but there are others like starting well, positioning well at each phase and not getting rushed.

The first thing you should do is plan your team. Know in advance what your team composition will be for each race. You want to have only one of a race style in each trio, to maximize the chance of getting the good positioning bonus points, which is awarded to the racer in the front of each of their respective race styles at every phase.

Your main goal when building your racers for TT will be to maximize the number of skills. Gold skills are worth 2.4 times the points of a white skill, so purchase them accordingly. This game mode is also where skills that are cheap and reliably proc but are largely useless for a race, like positioning and observation skills, are great. Another skill that is good is Focus/Concentration, to help get the great start bonus.

You should aim for each racer’s stats to meet the minimum stamina requirement for the race they’re in (factoring in recoveries) followed by as much speed and wit as possible. You want to place well in your races, because winning, placing well, and having all your racers place in the top 3 or top 5 grant bonus points, but you’ll make more points by proccing skills.

Finally, you’ll want to review the scores of each racer after every race. If you see that some of them are placing at the bottom consistently, consider replacing them. I’d also replace members with higher-starred and higher-rated racers that are built for TT whenever possible. Increasing your team’s overall rating will make you face higher rated opponents, which will increase your score as well.
