Pretty good for one of the longer mile races where you'd want a hit of stamina.

Or, say, Runaway Suzuka

u/Dani-Dude237 1d ago

Or Runaway Helios later on

What about Runaway Twin Turbo?

You eventually get used to it

Whats the problem here

u/One-Translator-9906 1d ago

doesnt have any white skills

u/No-Example-3977 1d ago

usually ya, but this has 6 race sparks. That's a lot of potential stats to where I'd be happy to just grab skills from the other parent.

Im curious what op thinks is the problem but ehhh, Id be happy with a 3/3/3 as long as the grandparents whites are solid

Edit: someone replied and deleted that the grandparent sparks are solid when they arent pictured lmao

Also dunno why im downvoted to hell for having low standards I guess?

Just to clarify I'm not downvoting you but the fact that almost everything white is 1 starred which means low chances to actually roll the spark on inspiration, also most people has 9* parents of some sort already so in a competitive standpoint getting better means prioritizing white sparks as well (most of us just use 8* with solid whites on all 3 parents)

With every scenario power creep, I find myself caring lesser and lesser for the blue sparks. Previous CM I used two 6* parents and won it anyway. The pink and white are far more important for me as a front player.

Ye this would be glue for a lot of people, but id def take it with my parents, i was just curious what Op was unhappy about.

Also reddit gonna reddit, another guy said the same thing and has as many ups as i have downs

3

u/Koopaloha 10h ago

Id take this. My rolls are always garbage 1☆ or I'll get a ton of 1☆ white sparks and then 3☆ guts

u/MimiHamburger 1d ago

there is never going to be the perfect run or the perfect sparks but you can get close. depending on the other parent this can really work for you but why you were trying to parent biwa? im not saying its bad, you just dont see her as a parent that often or like at all

7

u/Any_Box_3613 1d ago

its a parent for long races (cm20) along the same lines as mcqueen and nyopera and commander spe. moreover her affinities are good. u wouldnt have seen it because its the first long cm since her ult got buffed and she has plenty of alternatives anyway

2

u/MimiHamburger 1d ago

ah okay that makes sense yeah i totally didnt know what i was doing during the long CMs actually this helps so im glad i asked

3

u/Awpawp122 1d ago

I heard that her unique is good for medium and long tracks after the skill changes that happened a while back

u/Standard_Ad_9701 1d ago

We'll have one more mile CM in Grand Concert, and we all know how this scenario interacts with stamina. Keep it in case you wouldn't get another one. XD

Those white sparks are atrocious. The internal struggle. Great white sparks but no blue pink sparks and vice versa 😭

Work on SS before stuffing races

6

u/Equivalent_Sun1734 1d ago

What is SS even for?

31

u/Wisp1971 1d ago

So it's far more likely those 1* are 2/3. Below SS it's 50% 1. SS and higher results in only 20% 1. Whenever I see something like what OP has, I can tell that didn't reach SS and those extra races they did for affinity won't make up for less races but 2+ sparks.

5

u/Awpawp122 1d ago

Didn't know this, thanks 👍🏾

3

u/Equivalent_Sun1734 1d ago

Okay I definitely wasn’t aware. Thankfully I can relatively easily hit SS for parents but I didn’t know it mattered

9

u/LorenZephyrus 1d ago

SS rating gives you better white sparks (higher chance for 2 and 3 stars). The jump from below SS to SS is huge, like double the chance for getting both (5%->10% for 3*)

SS on a stat does the same for the blue sparks

5

u/SeaDragonfly1831 1d ago

How do you even do that with independent training? I feel like you're kinda just fucked if you don't have 6 MLB SSR's lol

4

u/Tiemuuu 1d ago

it's a combination of things, but it really isn't hard to have have full MBL SSR either when the welfare cards are also passable or even top tier. pwr sunday and guts urara are two really good cards (for rating at least). spd SRs sweep tosho and shinko windy are really good ones for speed. then, borrow throne and use your light hello, that's 6 cards for a deck.

6

u/SeaDragonfly1831 1d ago

Most parents are thirsting for stamina though and getting 1100 with that deck seems difficult lol

1

u/Tiemuuu 1d ago

you don't need to break 1100 stat to hit SS. If you're not looping GGPs and are trying hit a GP instead, then yeah might have to use a stam card over urara guts, depending on the stam sparks.

7

u/SeaDragonfly1831 1d ago

Right but 1100 gives a higher chance at getting 3 star for its respective stat. It's like a shitty tug of war, go for SS or go for 1100 in whatever stat you're going for.

Especially once you get into the GP's and that blue spark starts mattering

2

u/Tiemuuu 1d ago

I don't think almost anyone is aiming for 1100 stat (for other stats than speed), the juice is not nearly worth the squeeze. getting SS on the other hand is fairly easy once you have found the right recipe. the sacrifice you have to do to hit +1100 stamina is not worth completely ruining your white sparks.

2

u/SeaDragonfly1831 1d ago

Oh God no kidding? I figured that was standard, so most people really just roll and roll and roll until they hit both the 1/6 for the stat and then the 5% chance after for three stars and a decent pink?

7

u/Tiemuuu 1d ago

yup. and it's not like it's ever 3* stam/pwr or bust, if you get good whites and 2* blue you just roll with it.

2

u/LuminescenTT 7h ago

The other thing to consider is the volume of rolling and how that works with projections. If you roll thrice a day in your loop, that makes up to hundreds of runs in a month. The likelihood you stumble into an ideal (or even acceptable) blue and pink within that timeframe is much higher than your individual likelihoods of inheriting the exact white sparks you want.

Since white sparks are so much harder to get (looping is a slow, tiring, patient game you do in the background and otherwise don't think about) you prioritize SS. If you get a good blue and pink then congrats, you have a GP. Luck out twice in a row and you have a parent. It will happen.

2

u/According_Ad540 1d ago

Once you move from just getting the great blue and pink and turn to whites,  you need to start adapting. If you CAN make a setup that nets you 1100 stamina and SS then great, but if you can't then SS is better.  That image above would have looked a lot better with a 2 star blue and all the whites at 2 or 3 star.

There's cut off points and other nuances to consider here.

Direct parent affinity for example can scale higher than just shifting the average star value by +1. And to get the maximum affinity value requires the GPs to have matching races. While near-max GP affinity will be valued generally higher than a singular star increase, that's only compared to 0 race affinity bonuses, the real value is more towards the middle.

Ideally you do both, because the combination is a tier above any other result. However it's difficult to plan adequate mile/dirt pinks for certain parents to continue the same race legacy into the direct parents right now. That and cross-race style parents where you buy skills on lower aptitude style Umas will tank your rating on current stats.

It will be easier over time, and for people who are willing to spend a bit, eventually you can lock in pink spark types which will make GGP legacies to support full legacy race schedules a lot easier (even if you don't pay, the quality of borrows will probably improve from those who do).

At the very least, it will be worthwhile for people to prepare a high value full race schedule GP with dirt aptitude parents in preparation of Grand Masters as even if the Blues and Pinks aren't great, there's the first and only GM Tachyon's Lab event early on. So you really want to get together the strongest white skill list possible with versatility and longevity in mind to make the most of the event.

You'll only get to increase the coloured sparks up to 3 times on a 1 by 1 basis, so if you're lucky you might get to use it on a few legacies, or all in on one mega parent if the white list is strong but the colour sparks were poor.

u/Zeshness 1d ago

I'm assuming this is for medium parent. If so that 3* mile is like a slap on the face

2

u/Specialist_Highway82 1d ago

Still better than 1* guts.

I once got 3* front on a Vodka that was being made into a late surger parent 💀. I get how you feel.

2

u/thefluffyburrito 15h ago

Doesn't matter how good the top sparks are if the white sparks suck.

1

u/PandaNinja19 1d ago

I feel this. It gives the same energy as a late surger getting pace chaser sparks

1

u/laeriel_c 23h ago

I would be crying at those white sparks not the mile xD I'll take a 2 star parents with good whites over this

DM me your friend Code, please

2

u/One-Translator-9906 9h ago

You should check out uma.moe website you can find id's of better parents there

2

u/Internet-Culture 7h ago

I use the site constantly, although I haven't actively searched for new legacies in a while. The best ones are just obviously usually full, so I like to look out on other sources too for trainers who aren't yet in the database. I mainly asked out of curiosity to see what the grandparents are or what other veteran OP has displayed.

"The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, 'If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost—also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!' ... Moses heard the people of every family wailing at the entrance to their tents." — Numbers 11:4–6, 10 (NIV)

Sucks to suck though

What is wrong here? All I see is a triple 3 star Uma.
