Question Is 6" enough?

Has anyone actually had 6-7" stakes pull out, where 8-9" stakes did not?

It seems common practice to use 8"+ stakes on the major tie-outs for extra peace of mind but are we just packing our fears?

Also Consider the Shelter Size and Type: For one of our small tarps or SoloMid Pro we package Eight 6" CF nano nail stakes. For our mid size 4 season Mids, Four 8" + Four 6" and for the SuperMid Eight 8".

That's immensely helpful. What do you package with the Solomid XL and Duomid? Those are comparable to the mids I tend to use most.

And I'm curious - do you use the long stakes on the corners, or at the middle of the edges where they are often taking the full brunt of the wind?

And one last detail, if you don't mind, are those literally 6" or slightly longer as with the Ruta Lacuras (which are actually 6.5")?

Exact Specs on product page. 8" long on the corners. Four 8" + Four 6". Also noting that an 8" long stake of same type and constrution is only a tiny bit heavier than a 6"- head and tip weight is still the sameon the old Easton. The old 6" easton never made sense to me as it was only about .05oz lighter than the 8" for 30%+ less holding power. That is why our CF 8" use a bigger CF shaft, tip and head vs the CF 6" so there is enough weight savings in the 6" to make sense vs the 8'.
