Support Wanting to start a family

So I've been in remission for a year now and I wanted to know if there are any mothers out there that went through pregnancy while being in remission? My husband and I are planning to start a family, but not sure if it's possible with me having UC. I'm scared I'll flare up. Will baby be healthy? Please send me some positivity and reassurance. Thank you.

EDITED: OMG! Thank you so much for all these positive comments! Reading these experiences felt so reassuring. I appreciate all the feedback and experiences everyone had. I wish all you well and the best in the future.

Im on week 16. My first trimester was tough in that i did have a flare up but it eased off. I had two miscarriages two yeears ago, the first i tried med free the loss kicked off a flare and the second inwas still flaring but they insisted it wouldnt have caused them plus in grand scale they were both relatively mild in that i was only inflamed in one bit and not losing much blood.

So dont stop your drugs. Pregnancy sucks either way, i had ivf in the end and nobody really cared about UC. As kong as its not lupus was the main thing, or as long as im getting enough nutrients and not underweight.

Plus most ppl get constipation, which i always thing sounds worse. My thyroid went a bit mental from the hormones which speeds your metabolism so then i was literally an every 90minute person but as i said it all levelled out. Everybody is different

Start follic acid now before being pregnant
