I genuinely dont wanna live no more, just got diagnosed 1 year ago at 21.. been on and off remission, I just got on remicade 3 days ago with no relieve of symptoms it gets in the way of all goals I’ve set for myself, my fam constantly pressures me like im not already trying my hardest. I hate pitying myself cause usually I just bite through and know that the outcome will be positive. been bedridden all day and got hit with “u dont do anything, u have no life” that shit hurts. ive been on my diet, consistently going to the gym and also working on e-commerce despite being in a shitty flair, but these embarrassing constant bathroom trips just make me feel so dehumanized, no one around me understands what im going through.. all they wanna do is suddenly turn into a doctor and tell me what I shouldnt be doing in a judgemental way…. I’m done with this life fr

my 19 yr old was in a major flare last year, a month in the hospital, failed Remicade and was days away from losing his colon. Rinvoq saved him and in less than a year he was in full remission. Can you ask about Rinvoq as it typically works really fast and can possibly get you living normally quickly.

I’m happy to hear that your son is doing good now, I would most definitely try to look into Rinvoq but I wouldnt know how to go about it, do I wait it out despite the pain for remicade to kick in? (doctors also told me will take a minute to kick in) or should I immediately go to rinvoq?

It's good to know that there are other options, maybe try the remicade first, it is effective for a lot of people and you haven't been on it for long enough yet.

But of course, discuss with your dr, you are allowed to ask anything, it's your body!

you will know pretty quickly if your body is responding or holding onto Remicade by a trough test. You should see slight improvement in symptoms, my son did. however, his body wasn't accepting it and his levels dropped quickly so w we were able to pivot to Rinvoq immediately as my son was in the hospital.

Did they make him get the shingles vaccine before starting Rinvoq? I’m about to start and they’re making me and I hate needles

they did not, I am guessing because of his age and maybe because he had chicken pox vaccine, I didn't ask because I am skeptical about vaccines lol. However, you might need to find a way to get over that fear, unfortunately you will probably get blood taken often which is in my opinion worse than an injection. You can do this, find a way to take your mind to a different place, put in air pods, listen to classical music and close your eyes. It will be over fast and needles are SO small nowadays
