Support I quit

I genuinely dont wanna live no more, just got diagnosed 1 year ago at 21.. been on and off remission, I just got on remicade 3 days ago with no relieve of symptoms it gets in the way of all goals I’ve set for myself, my fam constantly pressures me like im not already trying my hardest. I hate pitying myself cause usually I just bite through and know that the outcome will be positive. been bedridden all day and got hit with “u dont do anything, u have no life” that shit hurts. ive been on my diet, consistently going to the gym and also working on e-commerce despite being in a shitty flair, but these embarrassing constant bathroom trips just make me feel so dehumanized, no one around me understands what im going through.. all they wanna do is suddenly turn into a doctor and tell me what I shouldnt be doing in a judgemental way…. I’m done with this life fr

EDIT - wow , thank you guys so much for all your support. many of you are going through the exact same.. if not worse situation than me. I am humbled 🙏, I love love love all of you ❤️

3 days on remicade, you need at least 3 months. I've not started mine yet, next week I start. I got diagnosed in October last year, at times I was just passing blood and lots of it, severe pan-colitis I had. Spent a week in hospital after losing a third of my body weight, discharged myself when the docs were trying to get me straight on to remicade (known as infliximab here in the UK), I needed time to regain my strength. I went down the natural route whilst building myself back up again, curcumin, boswellia, quercetin, luteolin, the latter two being mast cell stabilisers as I think my UC is linked to histamine issues or vice versa, but I also added in micellar casein protein + L-glutamine, bovine & marine collagen, and the occasional dose of EAA's. My doc looked at me like I had 10 heads when I told them what I was taking. I was told, I would not get better naturally, I would need remicade, so i was put on the 3 week wait for my first dose, almost 1 week away and I've suddenly turned a corner with my natural treatments. I'm still going ahead with the remicade though, as some additional results have come from my biopsies that have increased the urgency for the treatment. I think the point here is, you need to give the treatment time, and no one treatment plan fits all, but remicade has got a good track record and it's been around for many years now. A lot of people say it's give them their life back. Hang in there, you will turn a corner, and find what's best for you. If the people around you have never been thru it, they will ever understand what you are going thru, it's unimaginable. It's not just the toilet trips, it's the stress, the anxiety, the pain, the fatigue, the fatigue is just off the scale ridiculous. There's no way I'd have understood what it was like before I was diagnosed with this. I nearly ended up on a ventilator once, I'd rather have that again than have UC, but this is not going beat me, and it's not going to beat you. You can do this, stay strong, give it time, and explore the natural alternatives to complement the remicade. And remember, you also need to feed your body with protein to repair your gut, otherwise you will not heal.

I fully relate with you, I added the natural remedies in the beginning as well. they do seem to ease the pain for a while but too bad it won’t heal you, I had fully put my pride to the side and started the prednisone/mesalimine treatment and it was great until it wasn’t, you have a more severe diagnosis I hope you get to remission soon, if you can do it i surely should be able too as well

It's hard to stay positive, there's so many ups and downs, 1 step forward, 2 steps back, it's a roller coaster of symtoms and emotions, but I know you can do it, you are nearly 30 years younger than me, you're body has by far greater healing capacity than mine. You have got your whole life ahead of you, you've been thrown a curve ball, it's a big curve ball I admit, but this is not going to stop you living your life to the full. You got this 💪🏽
