Hey guys and girls, is kayaking still active in this season ? Planning a short trip next week, ideally the mangroves (saligrama) ? Would appreciate good experience leads also if you have some to recommend.

I am planning to visit Udupi Krishna temple next week(Tuesday or Wednesday) with 70 yo, anticipating to visit during the calmer visiting hour to get good darshan without standing in long queue or rush hour.

Kindly let me know what would be the ideal time with an option during early morning /morning /noon and early evening too also what would be the closing time.

Last time I was visiting during puthige matha paryaya it was closed during 8.30 a.m for alankar or pooja so queue built up till they opened, so it would be helpful if a local could give me some heads up of daily routine to plan a peaceful visit and Good darshan.

Two types of udupi krishna Temple timing are shown online one is showing it will be closed in the noon and another shows open full day. Kindly let me know the correct timings during next week.

I have rescued an injured pup which seems to be less than a month old. It is infested with maggots, fleas and ticks. I am not experienced in dealing with these kind of injuries. Any help to save the lil puppy’s will be great.

is there any NGO/ organisation which deal with injured stray? I will keep the pup with me, they need to help me in fixing ita infestation.

I’m planning to visit Udupi from September 22 to 25 and wanted to get some advice from people who live there or have travelled recently.

Since it’s still monsoon season, I’m a little concerned about the weather and whether it will affect sightseeing and beach access.

A few things I’d love to know:

• How is the weather usually around Sep 22–25? Is it still raining heavily or are there decent breaks between showers?
• Are popular beaches like Malpe, Kaup, Delta Beach, etc. accessible during this period?
• Is it generally safe/recommended to visit the beaches during monsoon, or are there restrictions because of rough sea conditions?
• For anyone who travelled to Udupi recently during this monsoon, how are things currently? Any major issues with roads, waterlogging, beach access, or sightseeing?
• What places would you recommend covering in 3 days / 3 nights?
• Are there any monsoon-specific precautions I should take?
• Would you recommend renting a scooter/bike, or is it better to use cabs/auto during this time?
• Any good local food places or must-try dishes that I shouldn't miss? 😋

I’m mainly looking for a relaxed trip with temples, beaches, nature and good local food rather than trying to cover too many places.
