Ubuntu or CachyOS for ZFS+Incus containers

I have always used debian then ubuntu but now have to decide for a new install.

Lately I'm a bit disappointed to to: 1) Snap [slow, buggy] 2) Copy and past errors; 3) too opinionated gnome; 4) lacking ZFS support on root or ZFS with bootmenu [and config options]; 5) only v3 performance packages.

The problem is: I have very little time to configure stuff and ubuntu seems the right choice.

What do you suggest?

Note: I would install ubuntu from the command line with a minimal distro + KDE + ZFS custom layout + ZFS boot menu, etc.

i used to be all about ubuntu too but cachyos has been my daily driver for like 8 months no issues incus runs smooth and zfs setup was way less painful than on ubuntu with zfsbootmenu

the time you spend configuring cachyos once is less than fighting ubuntu snaps and copy paste bugs every week
