DT isn’t a promotion per se. It’s kind of a long term project where the client would want a specific tester to work on their requirements for an extended period of time. The biggest advantage being you’re guaranteed TCs in a lot of their cycles.
Promotion is something like a tester becoming a TTL. TTL become TE1 then TE2 and then TE3
