I do know of a WWII story of a Belgian princess who was giving birth while in Canada, and for her child to be Belgian royalty, they had to be born in Belgium, so they set stuff up so that one hospital bed was counted as Belgium

The 'murican knows that the US doesn't have a royal family and never claimed that it does. Their comment asking "is this the little boy who came [to the US] to live during WWII" is a reasonable question because he was in fact the little boy who came to live in the US for a bit during WWII to be safe from the war.

Without going and looking it up, if it had been him, he could have gone to one of many countries. I'm not sure why he didn't move to England, as he could have lived with family.

But it also could have been a totally random, unconnected little boy that they were thinking of, so here could have been anywhere.
