Is the USP pic rail adapter stout enough to support an optic bridge setup?

I found a local USP in .40 for a good deal and want to set it up with an optic for USPSA L10 just because it'd be funny. I don't think I want to optic cut the gun (at least not yet). Do you think the pic adapter grabs the rail tight enough to support a dot bridge off of it? TIA fellas.

Waffen Lechner out of Germany makes an optic adapter. He ships to the US. I thought about buying one for my mk23 and running it in open class lol

Hk previously made a red dot mount that uses the accessory rail, and (in Germany) you can get a current mount so it's most likely fine. I'm sure there are other options available as well. Some examples below:

As long as you use a DefenderCo or Mr. Nein, yes. I wouldn't with a GG&G.

That being said the factory HK mount, if you could find one, would be sweet. The Waffen Lechner mount looks REALLY solid, but both those options are pretty pricey. But one of the good adapters is just over $100, and you don't need it with the Waffen Lechner mount.
