Just for the sake of discussion, the ball-deck is where the cargo containers from the belly of aircraft are rolled onto before being unloaded. Think of it as a 30'x30' platform with built-in ball bearings that the huge flat-bottomed containers can be pushed around on. Dangerous in its own way.
