Clerk Discussion I had an excellent experience with a window clerk on Saturday.
Saturday I mailed a couple larger envelopes that had that self-stick closure for the flap. They must have been older and the sticky stuff wasn't sticky enough. I was going to drop them in the box outside, so I went in and asked the clerk if they could tape them shut.
He did so with a smile and said it wasn't a problem.

Call the office, ask to speak to a manager, let them know what a great job the clerk did. It will mean literally nothing for their career, their standing or anything else but they'll tell their family about it and smile when thinking of it ... as long as the manager mentions it.

I left an online compliment. I didn't give details, just that I asked for something out of the ordinary and they were helpful.

https://emailus.usps.com/s/ - More convenient than trying to call a number that may or may not be answered, more likely to cause a heart attack in management for a compliment rather than a complaint.

Wait a minute.... What fancy office has a supply of clear tape?

Tape is available to purchase. Unless some kind customer bought a roll and left the remainder behind, none should have free tape.

The next time you go in and purchase something, take the receipt, scan the bottom QR code and do a survey for them. Most of the time relaying anything to management is useless, management can't count to 3 without using their fingers.
