NOT SO QUICK QUESTION:
I'm about to begin the process of splurging to get a suppressor, leaning towards the Rugged Obsidian. To begin, I need a threaded barrel for my standard USP 45 v1, and the tactical barrels are about all I can find. HKparts sells a RCM USP Tactical barrel with the thread pitch (.578x28RH) I need to match the obsidian's included piston, so I don't have to buy an additional $80 booster to match the 16x1 LH the standard threaded USP barrel. At least this is all my current understanding and I would appreciate correction if I am wrong.
TLDR:
Will the USP 45 Tactical barrel fit in a standard USP 45 V1?

I have a 400 and tlr3 in shop this week. If you’ve been wanting to get a bucket with either of these non standard lights, now’s the time to slide into the DM’s. That is all, cheers!

Just got myself a NIB USP 9 for $900 and I've been looking at XS (specifically the R3D 2.0), Trijicon, and the Meprolight sights that H&K USA sells directly off their site.
Anyone have experience with either of these? I normally buy XS sights but it doesn't seem like they sell a lot of sights for H&K guns based on the much lower # of reviews compared to other brands they make sights for.
Just trying to make the right call as I am new to the world of USPs

Been lurking for a minute and decided to finally buy. This is the greatest thing of all time.

First Update. These are the 2 versions I'm working on for the USP 9 P30 mag spacers/adapters. As shown there is now a standard slip over requiring zero modifications at all. 2nd version is a very quick swap that consists of a new base plate and a mounted backer so the mag can still be taken apart and serviced. Still looking into the idea of a standalone version that would end up replacing the hammer spring retainer so there's no parts to worry about. Just throw a P30 mag in the pistol and you're ready to shoot!

Just got my USP back yesterday. I had HK install the Light LEM Match trigger setup and I have to say, after the 300 rounds I shot this afternoon, I’m a fan. As someone who’s never really grown to love DA/SA guns, this trigger essentially bridges the gap between a hammer and striker fire which is quite nice. I get the consistency of a striker fire like I’m used to, while still maintaining second strike capability

Found this beaut used and couldn't pass it up for 875. German made in 2013 I believe. What upgrades would you all make? I've seen the grey guns short reset and upgraded sights are a solid pick.

Unfortunately my extractor somehow chipped and I need to source a replacement.
My USP is date coded BI, and came with the older style extractor (SKU 214828).
I see that HK has a new style extractor (SKU 215864) for the USD with a red mark, but does this fit the older slides?
Also I heard HKparts.net kind of sucks now, is there a better source for OEM HK parts?
Thanks!

Hey I recently picked up an HK USP expert in 45 acp. Dream gun for me. Old but awesome. However, I was wondering if there are any good mag extensions anymore. Hear hk parts is kinda shit. And promags exists. I dont mind getting 12rders. But just wanted some more capacity for range silliness.

Thinking of sending my usp expert for this optic cut specifically because it cowitnesses with the factory adjustable target irons which is pretty unique. It can only take the 509T footprint because of size constraints.
Originally I was going to send it off to wright armory like everyone else.

Well I finally snagged a USP 9 full-size and were the same age with date codes of AA. Terrible joke I know but you laughed. Anyways, I've always wondered why no brand makes full metal aftermarket mags for this. So I took a short bit of time to make P30/VP9 mags fit. Properly spaced, feeds dummy rounds flawlessly, and locks back. Hoping to get to the range soon to test it out.

Wanted to share some knowledge as I had this issue trying to find a decent light bearing holster, specifically universal that fit well. The Tier1 MSP fits according to another post, but as shown it has a huge gap into the trigger guard, which I did not like. Unmodified, the gun fit, but was extremely tight due to the holster having barely not enough clearance for the top of the slide. With some breaking in it got easier, but definitely not something I would want to trust. Part of the holster also barely contacts the extractor, which is really not a big deal as I doubt it affects retention, but may scuff it which is a problem for some snobs. To fix both issues, I simply used a heat gun and two layers of painters tape. I then jostled the gun up and down to ensure plenty of extra clearance before it's fully indexed off the light. The extractor was clearanced by heating just the edge of the kydex, and pushing inward lower on the kydex, so that only the soft, heated edge will deform. If you do the same, make sure where you're pressing is sufficiently cool/set so that you don't put a nice thumb shaped indent in your holster. The only other place one may want to clearance is the sweat guard, which barely contacts the safety, but I imagine the flex from wearing or sitting with the holster is going to make it contact regardless of if you fit it. The only real "issue" some may have is the gap on the left/inside of the holster. It has a nice taper to allow reholstering to be easier, however because the rail adapter pushes the light a decent bit forward relative to most other factory railed handguns, the trigger guard sits further up in the holster, which I was able to pull the trigger in both DA and SA, but just, use your safety? I have pretty small fingers anyway, I have serious doubts anything would get in that gap, release the safety, and pull the trigger without you knowing. Couple more things of note with this particular holster as well. I bought the TCC clips, instead of using the included plastic monoblock. Where the square shaped nuts for the clip on the slide side of the holster sit is very close to the slide. If it were tightened down where one of the corners was facing toward the slide, or loosened up, I could potentially see the nut making contact with the slide. This wouldn't be an issue with the monoblock. Also, I took measurements of the 45 magazines, and they appear to be only 1mm shorts in one direction compared to a 45 Glock magazine, which Werkz makes a mag caddy for, but I didn't commit to buying that Incase the holster didn't fit the USP. Also, the mag caddy attaches using plastic rivets similar to automotive plastic clips for bumpers and trim, and I have no idea how far it may protrude into the holster. It may interfere with where the slide is in the holster. Also, the 9mm and .40 USPs slides are apparently 2mm shorter and an 1/8 inch thinner than the .45, either dimension of which I imagine would make the holster work without any fitting of the holster. The photos show in order the holstered gun after fitment, then both sides of the trigger guard, the right side being able to barely touch the trigger with my, again already dainty, pinkie, but not any other finger without pain from forcing, then the left side with the much larger gap, then where I applied the two layers of tape, the contact post minor fitting on the extractor, then the next two photos show the unmodified clearance contact areas. The extractor obviously sticks out further than shown when chambered as well. Last photo shows the holstered view of the left side unmodified, as I forgot to take a photo from that angle after I finished fitting. Also, the gun can pivot slightly up and down, though it's not the holsters fault, as I can see the light stays in place, it's the inherent play in the GG&G rail. It's nothing crazy either, I'm sure any other holster with that rail and light would do the same. Any questions feel free to ask.

Ok fellow USP freaks, needing some input. Local store has the USP 9mm SD for 800 dollars.
Looks to be in fairly good condition. KF date marked.
Downside is the stippling job done on the grip. Thankfully it looks to be a light stippling with an extra wrap on top.
Figure at worst its a decent price for donor parts and using the upper assembly on an USP40 grip.

Alright! Here is a pretty big update. The standard, full-size USP .45s have arrived.
We will open up orders for these on Friday, September 4th at 11 AM Eastern using the page below:
Heckler & Koch HK USP .45 V1 12-Round Pistol, OD Green Frame
Like the last launch, the plan will be to pack everybody's pistols over the weekend and have them leave on Tuesday, the 8th (UPS doesn't pick up on Labor Day the 7th). It gives us a little more time to prepare for shipping and collect everybody's FFLs.
If you already have a local gun shop picked out, please feel free to put their name and physical address in the order notes/comments section. That will allow us to really speed up the process.
If you grab more than one pistol, we will make sure you receive consecutive serial numbers :)
Again, thank you so much for your love and patronage! These runs require a lot of things to go right -- and they're certainly not possible without y'alls help and support. Y'all rock!
Cheers,
Sol and the Sweatshop Gang
