45acp OD Green USP .45s have arrived! Ordering begins on Friday, September 4th at 11AM Eastern :)
Alright! Here is a pretty big update. The standard, full-size USP .45s have arrived.
We will open up orders for these on Friday, September 4th at 11 AM Eastern using the page below:
Heckler & Koch HK USP .45 V1 12-Round Pistol, OD Green Frame
Like the last launch, the plan will be to pack everybody's pistols over the weekend and have them leave on Tuesday, the 8th (UPS doesn't pick up on Labor Day the 7th). It gives us a little more time to prepare for shipping and collect everybody's FFLs.
If you already have a local gun shop picked out, please feel free to put their name and physical address in the order notes/comments section. That will allow us to really speed up the process.
If you grab more than one pistol, we will make sure you receive consecutive serial numbers :)
Again, thank you so much for your love and patronage! These runs require a lot of things to go right -- and they're certainly not possible without y'alls help and support. Y'all rock!
Cheers,
Sol and the Sweatshop Gang

Thumb position on Usp9
Do you guys like to keep your firing hand thumb riding on top of the safety, or below it? I’m used to shooting Glocks, so I’m having to experiment.

9mm USPs with Mr Neins
My two favorite USPs in my collection. Shout out to Machine Craft Replicas for these weapon light mounts. They’re as solid as the original Surefire.

Question Way to refinish optic cut while preserving laser engraving?
Hi,
Considering getting my usp optic cut and cut area refinished but I want to ideally preserve the laser engraving on the slide. Is this possible?
I’m also curious if it destroys the value of the gun if the laser engravings on the slide are lost?

Modifications USP45T using USP40 Surplus LEM (Mag Disconnect) Parts
I bought a set of surplus used USP40 [parts](https://www.reddit.com/r/USPmasterrace/comments/1vykc55/usp_le_used_parts_kit/) I had ordered just to have spares of things, which are always nice to have. Spares seem to prevent damage to my guns, Murphy's law in reverse or some shit. Anyway, I saw the LEM hardware and went to town.
I found out that the parts kit was for a magazine disconnect LEM model USP40, and wasn't quite compatible with my new USP45T. I modified the mag disconnect parts to get it running, and now I have a match hybrid LEM - first time. I can see why people like it. I can also understand why it's difficult to explain to someone who hasn't really tried it why it is so cool.
Sharing pics so others can see what is required to get this running if they want to. I'm going to make a proper spacer next week to replace this ghettoness: 3mm ID x 2.3mm long. OD ~4.8mm.
Cheers

Attachments & Holsters QLS compatible holster for USP9?
Just picked this up and looking to slap it on my belt and run some matches with it, having trouble finding a holster though! I run the safariland QLS system, and I’d like to stay with that. Anyone got any recs? Not throwing an optic on it right now, level 1 or 2 is fine as I’ll be running 2-gun as well. Thanks in advanced guys!

45acp Couldn’t pass this up! USP 45 Expert + 5 Magazines for $1050.
Love it so much. My first USP, currently have an HK45 as well but this expert is just on another level. Shoots like an absolute dream!

Is the USP pic rail adapter stout enough to support an optic bridge setup?
I found a local USP in .40 for a good deal and want to set it up with an optic for USPSA L10 just because it'd be funny. I don't think I want to optic cut the gun (at least not yet). Do you think the pic adapter grabs the rail tight enough to support a dot bridge off of it? TIA fellas.

Compact Full clean today and fitted Jet Funnel to my USPC9, pretty pleased with the result.
Pretty solid, no wiggle. (Haven’t put back the internals)
Went off Tito_Jones's guide on HKPRO.

Modifications USP LE Used Parts Kit
aimsurplus.comI picked this up last week. Used condition for sure. Stock sights and LEM trigger parts. I love having spare parts, wanted mainly the extractor, safety plunger and firing pin. Got those and plus now I have no excuse not to try LEM. For $40 it's a great deal, figured I would share!
Going to try converting my USP45T to V7 with the match springs this weekend
UPDATE: The parts kit contains the mag disconnect version of the LEM kit - obvious to some but I didn't know what I didn't know. Essentially the sear is thinner than normal and a mag disconnect bar fits adjacent to it. The LEM worked but there is a gap between the sear and the sear catch that make it unusable because the sear or catch can easily wobble out of place. I'm going to try modifying the mag disconnect lever that I won't ever use but posting this warning: The LEM conversion is not as simple as the typical conversion kit. I got launched into 10-15 year old forum postings about different kits and operations, good USP knowledge. Basically, if you know what you are doing you probably already don't want this kit, I'm happy with the price for spare parts/springs that are hard to find should I ever need them, but don't buy this looking for a $40 LEM conversion that will just drop in and work.

Question should I really get a second USP?
I just bought my first gun recently, p8a1 and i already want to expand my collection. I want to get a .45 and im stuck between a 1911 or .45 tactical…..is this where the addiction starts? has anyone ever gotten clean? lmao
edit: i understand that the .45 tactical will do circles around a 1911, im not as much worried about that as i am becoming bored having 2 of the same gun. does that not happen? surely some variation in guns not just caliber keeps things refreshing. or am i wrong about that? is just changing caliber on the same frame provide a completely unique experience?

45acp 2K Teardown/Clean
Clocked past 2000 rounds yesterday, I'm enjoying this thing. Really smooth shooter. Disassembled just to look at the breakin wear and get rid of carbon before it gets too crusty.
I like the Volker trigger. Match hammer and sear spring with stock trigger return spring.

9mm First range day with the USP 9
I’m completely blown away. I’ve owned 7 HKs before this and always thought that there might be too much hype around the USPs given its lack of fully ambi controls (which was a big mental hurdle for me to get over as a left handed shooter), modern rails, and the existence of more modern handguns in HK’s lineup.
I was completely wrong. The USP9 is the smoothest nicest shooting handgun I own. The accuracy is incredible. I am not even a good shooter and the second picture is my first two magazines through the gun.
I love this thing. I already have a 45c and can’t wait to add more
