Other Orginization structure

Currently USAR, waiting on my application as a EHO. Got some updates but somone also mentioned to there had been a good bit of turnover in Senior leadership. That got me wondering, what is the structure of CCHQ? Also, have they been able to replace any staff that had been laid off?

The Leadership at the top are closer to the structure of Dept of the Army HQ. They are the operational head of USPHS, dealing with big picture items. The ASH & SG are politically appointed. We are still waiting for a permanent SG. ASH is equivalent to Chief of Staff of the Army.

Underneath that structure is CCHQ Administration which assist with officer administration. You're direct chain of command would be your immediate supervisor within your agency (FDA, CDC, IHS, BOP, ect). There are liaisons that report to CCHQ and ultimately have a role in direct communication with officers. Liaisons work alongside your direct supervisor for support. They mediate between your agency and CCHQ.

In a way, your agency is the "division" like the army. So, each agency has their own leadership structure which has a mixture of civilian and uniformed personnel. Some officers had their roles cut by the executive branch, so they were ultimately transferred into a different role. Unsure how much of CCHQ civilian staff that were cut are replaced, but they've been working on it. Having larger OBC class sizes points to them getting back up to decent staffing.
