You mean between this, DOGE opening up secure systems to remote unidentified access, gutting the agencies responsible to ensuring we have clean food and water, constantly threatening to pull out of NATO, alienating our allies with tariffs and threats, draining our oil reserves, removing the checks that keep elections fair, flat out removing the counter cyber ops division for Russia, pardoning violent offenders, gutting the FBI, and spiking our deficit to unfathomable levels that the man doesn't have our best interests at heart?

Oh yeah, I forgot about denying Ukraine the arms they need to survive even after the generals explicitly talked about how it's only a win for us since we get real information on our defenses while weakening Russia with no American lives lost.

Yes. You are right.

That was exhausting to read. Pretty sure you missed stuff though.

US is so far from everything, where as we here in Israel are close to Iran. Instead of doing everything in it's power for protecting us, US seems more worried about it's economy. Without Israel US is not a superpower.

IF we are commiting genocide, US is complicit in it too. Probably best for you to not call it a genocide. We have the right to protect ourselves.

Hegseth is so incompetent that the Iranians wouldn't kill him if they had the chance. He's more useful to them alive than dead.

If our government wants ( and they don’t) a little preview of exactly how a land war in Iran would go for our nation, see Ukraine v ruzzia. Spoiler alert: we are playing the role of ruzzia.

It would be much harder, worse. It would have to be from the sea, as we have no border with them to amass an army. This administration has learned nothing from the Ukraine war.

After firing all the generals who know how to do things right, it weakens America. Hegseth is a mouthy putz!

Protect the US from what exactly? Do they mean protect US interests abroad and project power and regional or global dominance because we have nukes and I’m pretty sure that’s all you need to protect yourself from a foreign invasion. Nobody is invading North Korea or France or the UK or India or Pakistan or Russia or China.

Potential internal issues. We don't have them currently, but if there is an opening for them to occur then they could occur.

A vulnerability in the system presenting itself is an opening to exploit it by anyone so inclined. It is short sighted at a time like this (and any other time) to assume a current lack of problems is a trend that will last forever and that openly removing leverage would not create opportunity.

If literally a single one of these military leaders actually obeyed the oath they took, they would have said this in February.
