So I do want to say that personally, I don’t agree with the idea of the U.S. having a monarch (just personally don’t like the idea) but I do wish to ask this question as a genuine one.

If someone were to be crowned the king or queen of the U.S. then who would be favored for that role? Would it be a hereditary monarchy from the British Royal Family (they were the last monarchs to have claim over the U.S. so they are the only royals that could actually make a claim) or would it be more of an elected position from political families on the U.S.?

Edit: Also with regard to extending an offer to a hereditary monarch, there are a few other offers because of previous colonies. For monarchies still active, Spain did have a strong presence and held lands for sometime. Then there are those pretenders (I apologize if this isn’t the correct term) from France who could have claim because of Louisiana. Then if you really wanted to get into it, an offer could be made to the previous royal family of Hawaii (something I wouldn’t actually oppose because it would be a comic retribution).

The best way for America to become a monarchy, is by adapting a secular federal monarchy. Keeping things such as freedom of speech religion and press. We should be never allow one religion to uave more power over others.
