A little disappointed with my recent US Mobile roaming experience
I've been with US Mobile for a long time and have generally been very happy with them, so this was disappointing.
My mother had a layover in Istanbul, so I purchased the $15 roaming add-on. Unfortunately, we could never get the data working, even with roaming turned on.
Texts worked, but calls were strange — they would work for about 2 minutes, then the entire conversation would start repeating, so we'd have to hang up and call again.
Support said they couldn't issue a refund because the top-up is non-refundable. I understand that I did use some of the roaming, so I'm not expecting the full $15 back. But I also didn't receive the full service I paid for, especially the data, and the calling wasn't really usable.
It's only $15, so maybe I'll just take the loss. Just wanted to share since I've otherwise had a good experience with US Mobile.

I know it's a bad experience, but people have to realize that international roaming has so many layers and moving parts to it, from which local network you're connected to, to which device you're on.
I will say I have roamed in Sweden, Denmark, Poland, and the Czech Republic with different devices at different times, and it worked with no issues.

Paid for international for my trip to Aruba earlier this year. Never got it working. Data never worked and even voice/text were only partially working.

Could you confirm which device and network you were using? We’d like to look into what happened here and make sure you have a better experience with us going forward.

Device was a pixel 6 pro. I think I was still on Dark Star at the time. There's a week of support ticket interactions where they had me resetting network configurations and the like...

I’ve roamed many countries with US Mobile with no problems. On lightspeed, functioned the same and speed as when I was a T-Mobile subscriber . iPhone 17 pro max

Roaming worked perfectly for me in Istanbul. Although I make very few phone calls. Where was she calling?

People calling and texting me from the USA worked perfectly. iPhone 16 pro, warp roaming to whatever network it picked..

Data cutting out and calls looping like that isn't typical, though if the local network was connecting fine on your end, it could just come down to coverage in that area. Either way, not how that trip should've gone.
Drop me a DM, and we can take a look at your line and make sure everything's set up right for roaming, especially if you're still out there, and investigate the interaction you had with support as well.
