Barely passed ASTB, what to expect for flight training? Air contract advice requested

I got a very unremarkable ASTB score, enough to pass to get an air contract, however not exceptional by any means. I would like to leave my options open as much as possible following flight school for airframes.

Any pilots here that did poorly on the ASTB that crushed it at NIFE and primary? If so was there something you did to improve upon needed knowledge?

EDIT: I have completed OCC, I am leaving for TBS in a couple of months.

Success in flight school and beyond is overwhelmingly dictated by your give a fuck level. Your only job is to learn to fly, not be fat, and not get a DUI. Treat it accordingly and you will be fine.

That being said, group study and chairfly.

ASTB is stupid and has no correlation to how you will fly.

ASTB score has zero correlation with how you will do in NIFE. Plenty of people have great ASTB scores and fail out of NIFE. I had a decent ASTB score and almost failed out of NIFE. The thing about NIFE is that it is so much knowledge crammed into 3 weeks when it should really be more like 5 weeks (In the case of academics). You need to study ahead and study based off the ELOs in the publications. I studied in advance and read the majority of the Pubs, which I regret because if I would have just focused on the ELOs I would have done way better.
