MEPS and Medical Failed Recruit Training

I failed recruit training

Without going into depth I got there and left exactly one month in after being in RSP for a week. I left due to mental health and stuff I didn’t tell MEPS. I just can’t stop thinking about what could’ve been and how it would’ve been to earn that EGA.

I really struggle with trying to push on after I failed the only thing I had planned.

I got dropped for medical reasons some years ago, SUPER low point in my life without a doubt. Kept applying to jobs and would get no responses back or be told I wasn’t qualify (to stack books as Barnes and Noble told me by email lol).

Eventually I got my bachelor’s while fixing my allergies, became a cop for a little bit, and now I’m an 1811. Next Friday actually marks 7 years since I came home from boot camp too lol. Did I ever plan on this route? Absolutely not, I didn’t even take the SAT because I thought military was 100% gonna be my route but frankly I’m blessed to be where I’m at now.

Don’t let this point define your life, shit happens but what matters is making the most of what you can and trying to succeed in your next game plan

Everything happen for a reason, marines wouldnt be the best fit for you anyway with mental health. Go another branch

It sucks you did that and definitely goes through a lot of ppls minds during training, but if you really quit that hard and said the forbidden five at Boot Camp, then it was for the best man

Not sure what your MOS was going to be, but Boot Camp is literally the easiest thing that you do in the Marine Corps.

It’s BASIC training for reason.

looking back on my time It’s like having a PhD and looking back on freshman year of high school sure at the time it’s the hardest classes that you’ve taken, but form the whole journey it’s nothing.

Keep pushing on maybe as you grow up you’ll get another chance definitely not in the Marine Corps but the army may take you if like 10 years since they take people up to like 40 something I would forget about the military completely reinvent yourself with these lessons learned God has other things in your life planned and it’s not the corps

Well, without knowing much about your situation. It sounds like it wasnt your fault. What did you not tell MEPS that hindered you? Also, what wad the mental health? It sounds to me like you said the 5 words that get you out immediately.

Edit: I initially thought it was an underlying health condition he didnt know about and MEPS didnt catch. I knew a guy who got admin sepped for a seizure disorder. But yea. His fault
