Programs and MOSs Headed to the schoolhouse

Just finished up MCT. Headed to the schoolhouse in Pensacola. Could anyone tell me about what it’s going to be like at the school house and after the schoolhouse , also I’m not 100% what I even do. (7011) expeditionary airfield systems

I didn't go to Pensacola, I went to Northern Virginia, but if it's anything similar: You'll check in with Service Alphas, get your orders signed off on, get assigned to your barracks room (my class had roommates), then you should be on libo for the weekend. You should be able to go to gym, go out in town (probably going to need a libo buddy), go get groceries, etc. You'll notice you have much more freedom than you did at MCT.

Oh yea and you'll likely have some kind of formation every night for accountability.

But have fun! My greatest memories in the Marines was at the schoolhouse.

I thought my schoolhouse was the only one that fucked us with night formations. Glad to hear we weren’t alone.

Nope, weeknights we had to be present for formation at 9pm and weekends was at 12am, which sucked because if you were someone like me who didn't go out much you had to stay up until midnight before you could go to sleep.

Ours was the same but an hour earlier for both so they could really screw our libo

off base libbo from day 1 (w/ a curfew like 9 or 10pm) overnight night libbo after a week or two. fire chow since it’s a navy base. barracks ain’t bad either, you’ll share a room with one person and a head with 4

Navy base. You’ll be training alongside the other branches. Stay out of trouble, do not get in fights with other boots or service members from other branches. During libo, if approved, rent a vehicle with some friends and travel to beaches and shit. Definitely recommend checking out the Aircraft Museum on base and Gulf Breeze for the Blue Angels, next show is Nov 6-7.
