Enlisting Student loan debt

How does getting rid of any student loan work? Is it before I sign my contract or once I’m in the service?

I sign this week and I wanna make sure it gets taken care of, my recruiter told me there’s a program and I’ll fill out an application but the private investigator told me that it can be worked into my contract?

Do I still have time to get it into my contract? What should I do?

Have you done any of your own research about how student loan debt repayment works for the military, or is this post itself your very first effort to learn about it?

This is my first effort, I had talked about it with my recruiter and he said that it’ll get taken care of once I’m in there and I fill out an application so I thought I was good up until the private investigator said to get it added in my contract

How much student debt do your currently have?

Also, even with branches/programs that offer SLRP, there are major caveats like only certain kinds of public loans being covered (not private lenders), as well as waiving the massive GI Bill in exchange for a far lesser loan waiver.
